Winter wonderland
Grateful for the four wheel drive advance notice the weather in town vs the property and ski area vastly different. The snow was magical like a Christmas card until you have to back up the driveway in it. Overall we had a great time we improvised to remove snow with a dustpan as no shovel was to be found. The hot tub was a plus after a day snowboarding.

Best Ski Trip Cabin (8 night stay)
The house was actually nicer than the photos. Although it's not a huge house, we had plenty of room for everyone (14 guys) to hangout on the main floor because of the open floor plan and high ceiling. Between the couches in the living area, the large dining table, and the bar stools around the kitchen island, there is more than enough seating and space for 15 adults without feeling like you are on top of each other. The basement is also a nice large space. The best part by far is how close Purgatory resort is. Being able to wake up 45 minutes before the lifts start and, without rushing, comfortably make it in line before they start taking people up is an awesome amenity. We also went up to Silverton Mountain to ski which was only a 45 minute drive. We can in the last week of March, and even though 5-10 minutes away from the cabin there was next to no snow, when we got the the cabin there was still multiple feet of snow all over which was awesome to see. The cabin is tucked around the back of a steep hill, so it feels very secluded and private even though it's right off the highway. The Nugget Bar being within walking distance was a great feature too. Lot of fun was had in that place. Overall, especially for the price compared to other places, this is an incredible place to stay. I will definitely be looking to book this place again the next time I want to ski in this area.

Large cabin close to Purgatory Resort
Large cabin with plenty of room for a large family/group. We had 2 families with teenagers and there was plenty of room for privacy and a large area downstairs for games and recreation. We loved the hot tub experience after long days of skiing. The only problem we had was we were unable to get the upstairs television to work. The Apple TV remotes wouldn’t work so we had to just air drop our own movies from our iPad to watch the TV. Definitely need 4WD vehicle if you are visiting during the snow season. Overall it was a good experience.

The house has everything we need. We required 2 space heaters, which helped before the house warms up. The basement bedroom is overheated if we turn on the heating downstairs.

Cool place
Property was more than expected. Beautiful place to stay with three floors for multiple rooms to enjoy and be together but also have your own space. Love the mountain neighborhood that is located in. We stayed in June and there was still some snow on the high mountains but it was very cool and green all around.

Nice mountain hey away
The cabin was nice and over looked the mountains literally less than 5 minutes from the ski resort. If I had to give any kind of negative remarks it would be that chemicals were needed for the hottub and the fan didn't work in the main floor master bedroom, the porch was not cleared of snow and was very slick and there was no place to turn vehicles around. These were very minor inconveniences and our stay was great. We will be back.

Silverton Wedding Stay
Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this rental property. The last night of our stay, the breaker in one of the upstairs bedrooms tripped and we couldn’t get it to reset so we had to change up sleeping arrangements after everyone had gone to bed but it all worked out. The two couches in the main living area were bowed/broken in the middle making them difficult to get out of but as long as you say closer to the arms of the couches, you were fine. The kids enjoyed exploring the area and the days and nights were so much cooler than If we had stayed in town.

Christmas in July
Ous stay in Colorado was a Christmas gift to kids and grandkids. There were 12 of us and the house fit our needs and was well stocked with all the essentials. We had no problems at all that would require a call to the managers but did have their number and contact info if we needed anything. It is in a beautiful area and we spent time in Durango, Silverton and Ouray.

Great Stay
Nice process, all turned out as advertised. It would be nice to have a bit more information shared through the VRBO app itself as it isn’t very informative even after having a place reserved but the overall process and the helpfulness of the staff was great. We will be doing this again.

Beautiful setting
This is a nice cabin set back amongst aspen and pine trees near a small lake. The rooms are spacious. The kitcken was adequately equipped. There is a lot to do nearby: Purgatory chair lift & alpine slide, mt biking, hiking, swimming/kayaking, river rafting or just taking a walk on the roads in the vicinity. The property management was responsive and helped when a smoke alarm malfunctioned and when we were short on towels. Highly recommended.

Perfect for our large group
We had 14 people in our group. The cabin was roomy and beautiful. Parking was a little interesting. We came to the area to ride trails on sxs UTVs so we had 3 trucks with trailers, we ended up parking down below the house at someone else's property, thankfully he was nice enough to let us. Really the only annoyance was they initially only gave us 2 trash bags, so we had to call the first night and ask for more, I thought that was strange since they knew there were more than 10 of us and we were staying 6 nights, then we ended up running out of TP the second to the last day. Taking the trash out to the large dumpster by the main road was a challenge, it was full when we got there and 12 hours after it was emptied it was full again, no idea what we wouldn't done with all the trash had we left on a Wednesday or Thursday before they emptied it again. Also they need to rewire the bathroom lights on the main floor, there's a master bath and a half bath and they are connected to each other so you have to have the half bath turned on or the master one won't work.

Durango 2020
The house itself was great. We had issues with supplies not being provided as detailed on the website. No or little hand soap, toilet paper, dishwasher soap etc. when we arrived. The kitchen stove was very inadequate for cooking as the heat level was so bad it took forever to cook anything, very inconvenient with 15 people eating all meals on the premises. All the kitchen pots, pans and cookware are very old and well used. Some of the appliances such as can opener and hand mixer are from the 60's, time for a little update/upgrade in general. All in all we had a great time and dealt with the circumstances.

Would not recommend this rental especially if you want to access the lake
The house itself was nice and generally met the online description. On arrival we found dried on food and gunk on dishes in dishwasher and sludge in washing machine. We re-ran the dishwasher and ran a rinse cycle on the washing machine then added our load of laundry and then the washing machine broke down. There was garbage inside the board games – babybel cheese wax wraps and candy wrappers. Fire alarm went off at 1 am on our first night there for no obvious reason. Master bedroom, bath, and laundry area on main floor – lights did not work unless you turned on the light in the powder room and left it on. 2 hours of workmen in the house to check and repair smoke alarm and washing machine. Glad to have items checked and repaired but not thrilled to have to have workmen there during vacation, especially one that was supposed to be a socially distancing one. According to the repairman the fire alarm going off was related to the wiring issue on the main floor. Upstairs DVD player and tv remote did not work. No foosball table although it is in pictures. We booked this rental mainly because it offered an opportunity to get 5 people on the lake at one time. When we initially tried to get the canoe into the water, we were stopped by a man named “Tim” who claimed to be the volunteer caretaker of the lake reporting directly to the owner of the lake. Tim would not let us put the canoe in the water because he said it had not been inspected by Electra Lake Dam. After conferring with property manager, we agreed to keep canoe out of the lake while the property manager had the canoe picked up and cleaned at a different lake because Electra lake inspection was closed due to covid. When the canoe was returned with a statement saying it had been sanitized Tim still would not allow us to put it in the water. Tim was very aggressive and screaming at my husband and children. During the time we were out on the lake he would walk or drive by us about every 30 minutes to make sure we were not trying to get the canoe on the water. While we appreciate the property manager having the canoe picked up and taken to be cleaned, we feel that the property manager should have take steps to ensure that the equipment provided to use on the lake complied with all regulations before we arrived. In the end, we spent one FULL day of our 3 day vacation dealing with all the issues and were never able to get the canoe into the water.
