The Velvet Crab is located directly on a freshwater pond that is centrally located and close to everything the Cape has to offer. Hike around the Salt Pond Visitor’s Center, bike the Cape Cod Rail Trail, walk the National Seashore ocean beaches and catch the blaze of colors at sunset on the bayside. Everything is so close and within reach of the Velvet Crab.

Very central to everything. Close to Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike trail), Arnolds, Coast Guard and Nauset Light beach, Salt Pond Visitors Center, Eastham Windmill, and First Encounter beach.

The cottage is located on the waterfront. You must read the directions in the guide provided or else you will go to the wrong place. Do not rely on GPS!!!

Watch the ducks glide across the water or take a refreshing morning dip. Not ready for a swim? The outdoor shower is a delightful option in the summer too.

Explore the pond at your leisure—take the canoe out to fish or float on a raft with no agenda other than relaxation. Let the peaceful surroundings soothe your mind and soul.

Just steps from the serene Minister’s Pond, this two-bedroom cottage offers a tranquil escape. The bright and open living space includes a full kitchen, dining area, and oversized windows that showcase stunning pond views. The first bedroom features a Queen bed overlooking the water, while the second bedroom offers two comfortable twin beds. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, complemented by a dining table with seating for four. Unwind in the living area with a streaming TV where you can access your favorite channels. Plus, you can bring along your furry companion (one dog, with a fee) to join in the fun.

In the evening, grill dinner just off your deck or visit one of the many fantastic nearby restaurants. End your day around the fire pit on the pond’s beach, listening to the frogs welcome the night.
While the lower pond beach area—including the pond landing and fire pit—is shared with another cottage on the property, these are private spaces reserved exclusively for our guests.
