We unfortunately chose a night when there was s Christmas party, so struggled to find a parking place, of which there are normally plenty. But otherwise, everything was as comfortable as usual.

For whatever reason I thought Malmaison was a decent brand however our room in Leith was pretty tired and cleanliness was not the best. Would I stay again? Absolutely not but at least I know now to avoid.

Located in the old port area, the hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants and pubs. Easy transfer from to the Airport and mainline station by tram. Rooms, spacious, staff very helpful. Very accommodating if you travel with your dog. Bar and restaurant excellent.

Well located with excellent transport links
A noisy radiator together with uncomfortable pillows made for a restless sleep. Kettle too was broken and not replaced when reported. Overall, a nice clean modern hotel and nice spacious bedroom. Excellent shower. It was a real plus to have free on site parking and the hotel was ideally situated for transport links into the city and airport. Bit pricey for food and drink but plenty of options locally on the doorstep with some really good restaurants. Would recommend.

Nice stay, good accommodation
Was a pleasant stay, staff are very friendly. There’s nearby dinning, grocery store, very walkable. Only issue I had was that if people were talking in the hallway, you can hear them, and you can also hear the TV once it gets up to a volume 10, which isn’t ideal.

We were offered the option of a paid upgrade to a signature suite. This turned out to be a really noisy room just next to the entrance door and road noise. We would have been better with our original room in the attic I suspect.

The location by the Water of Leith was fantastic, and using the trams made it easy to get into Edinburgh. So many great restaurants and cafe’s within walking distance. The room was large and clean. Free parking was a bonus.
