Everything was excellent except the fact their door lock system was down and we needed concierge to open the door every single time. However, they were always available and fast on that: I see that issue in predictable and that does not effect how good the stay was.

Very good and convenient location
Comfy twin room, well designed and furnished. Very convenient for Haymarket side of town. Minor things stopping it from getting 5 stars in my review - The room keys weren’t being programmed properly so had to be escorted to the room each time (friendly and polite staff though!). The refillable bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom were both empty. My room was above the main entrance and there was an extremely noisy lorry outside delivering something at 7am in Saturday morning. I used a herbal teabag (as I drink uncaffeinated) but the next day was replenished only with regular caffeinated tea bags.

This hotel is in need of refurbished. The air conditioning in my room (509) was broken and a small radiator was placed in the room after notified reception. The temperature outside was -2C and the room was freezing! After a sleepless night I checked out early! Coffee machine in room also broken and iron was dirty leaving black marks on my white dress shirt! Final gripe is that the towels are cheap and rough. Overall a poor quality hotel and would not recommend staying here!

No Guinness!!
A very modest, clean and fairly contemporary hotel, approximately 10 minutes walk from Haymarket station. A little off the beaten track and you have to walk for about 10 minutes before you find a few bars and restaurants. The room was comfortable and had a very contemporary en-suite with walk in shower. I only had 2x gripes: the AC was a bit hit n miss and I couldnt regulate the temperature. The other issue was there was no Guinness on tap in the bar!! Small mercies!

Overall very good 9/10. No do not disturb sign in room. Some damage to carpet in the room. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Good sized bathroom, no bath. Floor gets wet very easily. No hair conditioner. Good tea tray with good selection of tea/coffee and Scottish shortbread. No robes. Good central location, in easy walking distance of attractions/tram. Room was very hot, despite opening window and adjusting temperature controls. Overall very clean.
