Good condo, rude and misleading host
There were 3 of us staying for 4 nights. We chose this condo mainly for its location and were excited to use the facilities heavily featured in the listing - over 10 photos showed the rooftop patio, gym, and game room. Gym was clearly listed under “Amenities”.However, none of these amenities were available for guest use. When we asked the host what's the point of posting pictures of what's not available for use, response was rude: “If you have a problem with it, feel free to cancel.” This was on the day of check-in, and the reservation was non-refundable. We found this misleading. Why advertise facilities that guests can’t use?The listing also claimed all essentials were provided. I even messaged the host beforehand to confirm basics like salt, pepper, and cooking oil, since we were arriving late and planning to cook breakfast. The host said “yes, of course.” In reality - no oil, not a single mug in the kitchen or a hanger in the closet.I messaged the host in the morning. That evening, a Dollarama bag appeared on our door with 3 mugs, a bottle of the cheapest canola oil, and 7 hangers. While we appreciated the gesture, it felt like the bare minimum - especially considering this is marketed as a “luxury” condo and priced accordingly.The unit itself was clean, the check-in/out process was smooth, and the internet worked well. But overall, the experience fell short of expectations due to misleading advertising and poor communication from the host.
