Creole-style Cottage near Fish River

Take a break and unwind in this rural creole cottage near Fish River–actually just across the road. Put your kayak or boat in at the Honey Road public boat ramp only 3 minutes away. A central location for business and pleasure: beautiful downtown Fairhope, Grand Hotel at Point Clear, the beautiful white sands of Gulf Shores, and Tanger Outlet in Foley all within a 30-minute or less drive. The cottage is located on quiet dead end street. Attached covered carport for one car.
We often stay here and have created an inviting cottage featuring pine floors and ceiling fans throughout - including front porch. Master bedroom en suite bath has a vanity and vessel sinks, and a jetted garden tub with shower. Queen bed in master and full in other bedroom. Walk-in closets in both bedrooms. Note: there is only one TV which is located in the living area. Appliances include gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, blender, Ninja 10 cup coffee maker, dishwasher, refrigerator and washer and dryer.

A wonderful site in a wonderful location
We’ve stayed in a number of VRBO “excellent” residences and we always look for places out in the woods and close to small towns. This site met all our expectations. Great for a couple in their 70s! Great restaurants within ten miles.

Get-away from New Orleans weekend
This place was impeccably clean. Check-in was easy. It’s about 18 minutes from Fairhope Ave in a very quiet area. Kitchen is very well equipped and the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms allow for privacy. It was completely comfortable and we would stay again.

Charming Cottage
This cottage is quiet, and peaceful with many trees, flowers and birds outside. Inside is nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Fully stocked kitchen. You feel as if you are home. Can't wait to return!

We loved everything about the property!!! It was immaculate. Everything was as described and the front porch was amazing and perfect for hanging out when it rained in the morning. The only knocks I could come up with is I wish there was a grill to cook out on, I wish there would have been a tv in the bedrooms for when we wanted to chill in bed in the morning and I wish there would have been more toilet paper provided. 4 rolls for 4 ppl for 5 days ran out fast and we had to go get our own. Other then those minor things the house was perfect and close to several beaches, restaurants, and fun things to do!!! 5****** stars all day.

Perfect getaway
I loved the house, it was perfect, beautiful, clean and everything we needed. The location was great, not in the middle of fuss/traffic but easy drives to everything. We visited the cute town of Fairhope. Ate a Bill-ee's which was ABSOLUTELY great and got to see a great band, Went to Fairhope brewing company and Hwy31 breweries (my husband is a home brewer so that was a must). Even went down to a nice full beach day at Gulf Shores and visited Big Beach brewery as well as at at the Sloop, that food was excellent too! All the drive times were 30 mins or less to these places, and we hit NO TRAFFIC while there on the weekend. It could not have been better. The front porch sitting was so relaxing and peaceful too. Loved it and would stay again for sure! Thank you!

Wonderful Cottage!
My husband and I were not disappointed. Everything was clean, comfortable beds and the furniture lovely and cottage was tastefully decorated. Our dog, Dixie enjoyed walks there. Good place to get back and relax. Time included trip to the Naval Air Museum enjoyed 3 hours there. Visit in Fairhope- Sandra’s sandwich shop tasty sandwiches and friendly service. The Fairhope Museum, was a nice surprise. A Christmas store with special ornaments, and many other finds in town. Not far to the beach.

Perfect cottage
This cottage was perfect for us-sparkling clean, well maintained, stocked with everything you could possibly need, comfortable beds and an awesome shower. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees and an outside porch swing. We had a maintenance issue shortly after arriving. The owner was very responsive and had it fixed immediately. The location is very quiet and peaceful, yet you have easy access to dining, shopping, beaches and other activities. We have already booked another stay in the fall.

This cottage is lovely and the location is quiet, yet Routes 32, 98 and 181 are convenient for getting to the Fairhope area and other popular areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay. The porch swing was our afternoon spot after sightseeing. Debra and Myles are great hosts and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We highly recommend this home away from home!

Creole Cottage in Summerdale Alabama
The Host did a wonderful job communicating with us, the property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We loved the front porch, the comfortable bed, ,the well stocked kitchen and the beautiful setting amongst the Lob Lolly Pines, It is close to Fairhope and just 20+ miles to Gulf Shores. We definitely would recommend this to those who are staying a week, or a month as we did.

Excellent Property
The property was charming. It was impeccably clean. Everything worked. Proximity to Fairhope 15 minutes and about 40 minutes to Gulf Shores. Nice porch and bird seed was provided for bird watching. Area worked well for walking our small dog. We really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

Fantastic little cottage home.
We loved the home and the location. It was within 20 miles of everything we wanted to do and see. The home is very cozy and clean. Oh, and absolutely GREAT water pressure. If you are looking for the perfect cottage, then this is it!! From the minute we pulled up, it felt like home. It was so clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. The cottage is far enough out of town and just brings peace and comfort from a long day. My favorite thing was sitting on the porch every morning listening to wildlife. Conveniently located to everything we had planned for the weekend with our family. We will definitely book this property the next time we are visiting from NC.
