Peaceful
Peaceful and fully equipped. Everything was great. No major issues. The only reason the cleanliness is getting a 4 out of 5 is because I went to wash the few dishes we had dirtied and the kitchen sponges were both gross and unusable. Obviously didn’t use them and found a disposable cleaning pad under sink. Also the guest toilet seat looks horrible. Besides these two things this place was Great and we could totally see ourselves coming back in the future for a peaceful weekend getaway. Hope this review helps.

Could be awesome
The property is spacious and private with a variety of amenities. It needs a LOT of attention. Half of the light bulbs were burned out, downspout fell off a long time ago, most blinds broken to the degree of having slats missing, windows covered in dirt, dead cockroaches under furniture, instead of replacing the microwave over the range, another was placed on the counter - blocking visibility and access to the light over the kitchen table while at the same time lights over the sink were burned out. The owner was very responsive, personable and accessible by phone, and mentioned challenges oreventing him from working on the property. The last night, an animal pulled away lattice covering the crawl space creating quite a commotion - likely a raccoon. Again - this could be a wonderful property, but it needs care. .

Paradise
Paradise at Lotus Point. Everything was wonderful. I had the whole lake to myself to kayak and just chill. House was stocked to make cooking a breeze. TV was easy , too many remotes can ruin tv time. Close to all attractions yet hidden away in a very quiet neighborhood . Must admit you don’t go on holiday on New Years Eve , where I live fireworks are illegal - and there was a party close by , so that is my bad. Other than the cannon fire, it was an excellent time and I would rent again .

Time Away
This was the perfect place for us to enjoy some time away from the rush of everyday life. The view of the lake during the day is beautiful and the stars at night is breath taking. Our teenagers had no problem taking time away from electrinics and getting on the lake to fish or spending time playing board games and coloring on the porch. Our dogs who are seniors spent the whole day laying on the porch. Living their best life. We definately recommend this retreat and it is on our list to return.

Peaceful stay in real Florida
Appreciated the quiet, broken only by the Sand Hill Cranes and nightly frog chorus. The property is very natural with clipped areas for easy walking. We enjoyed day trips in the rural countryside along with stops in Inverness, Crystal River, Floral City and Beverly Hills. Good dining at Lollygagers and fine takeout from the Viet Deli. We are longtime Floridians missing this quieter life that is overrun by development nearer Tampa Bay.

Peaceful and amazing
I came for a short solo get away. I found tranquility. The property is beautiful. The cottage and kitchen are stocked with anything you might need. The lake and the dock were delightful. I fully enjoyed the bird activity, the sunrises and the sunsets. The covered porch was a great place to read and write. The withlacoochee trail is within walking distance and I took advantage of it daily. I’ll be back.

Another great stay at Lotus Point
This is the third year we've spent 5 weeks at Lotus Point and it did not disappoint. We love the location, the privacy, and the great house. Easy access to the Withlacoochee Trail is what drew us here and we enjoy biking nearly every day. Dwight is attentive, friendly, and a great host. Highly recommended property!

Fantastic Weekend !!
This property was just amazing !! Extremely clean and well maintained. Very private. Can't see the neighbors at all and right on the Lake.. Close to the Withlacoochee bike trail and state parks.. Peaceful retreat
Great place to unplug, study the reflections on the lake, and listen to the sounds of nature from the back porch. Bring that recipe you've been wanting to try as the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The dock needs some work - so we were unable to fish. But the private setting make this a true "Old Florida" peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing Lotus Point cottage. We plan to return.

Always Amazing
This was our fourth (maybe fifth) time at Lotus Lake and we love it just as much as ever. You immediately feel at peace as you stand at the age of the lake, or sit on the screened porch. We were there in August, so it was expectedly hot, and yet that didn't take away from the enjoyment at all. Can't wait to go back again another day!

Peaceful place to re-energize.
Our family had a great time! Loved having access to the kayaks and fishing equipment. Very relaxing sitting in the screened porch with a cup of coffee when the sun was coming up. Great little local shops, museums and restaurants near by. Pudgee's Eatery was great too.

Well-equipped lake cabin
Cozy, cute, on an incredibly beautiful location. It has EVERYTHING. Kitchen has every tool you need, there's fishing rods, boats, WiFi, Netflix, a screened in porch with rocking chairs, the hosts have thought of all of your needs and more. We will be returning whenever possible. Try breakfast at Robbin's Country Kitchen down the road!

Pleasantly surprised
This was a last minute booking just to get away so we didn't have a lot of expectations. We were all pleasantly surprised with the place. It was bigger than we thought it was going to be. The lake was beautiful and the fish were biting. It was also more secluded than we had expected. It truly felt like a weekend away. Definitely what we all needed.

Lotus Point Lakeside Cabin
We had such a memorable vacation at Lotus Point! 4 adults, 1 toddler and 2 doggos! The views were beautiful, the weather was awesome! We spent 90% of our time on the screened in patio. Dwight has thought of everything! From lawn games, to firewood, boats, fishing gear, kitchen utensils, etc! We wanted a low key weekend without too much of an agenda and this rental provided that for us! We would absolutely stay here again. The house was clean, well stocked, and rural! Dwight was easy to reach as we arrived after dark and had a hard time navigating the back country! He was super helpful! Highly recommend Lotus point for your family adventure or quiet getaway!
