Excellently positioned, very close to Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, Bargello, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio etc. Very kind and helpful receptionists, gave us good advice re local breakfast and dining options. Helped with luggage safekeeping at departure. Always with a smile. Room was clean and pleasant, maintained daily.

Before I get to the good stuff, I would suggest that if you have mobility issues, the Relais is not for you. There is a stairway you must climb to reach the elevator. If climbing stairs is not an issue, the Relais is a great place to stay while in Florence. The owners and staff are very friendly and speak English. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. The building is old, dating I think, from the 14th century. Therefore, it's not a sleek, modern facility. But it is very interesting! Staying in a room with very high ceilings was unique. The bathroom was very modern and clean. The Relais is in a great location too. It is easy walking distance from the railroad station. We used the high speed trains for day trips, including one to Venice. It is also very close to the city center with the various museums, squares, bridges over the Arno, etc. We definitely would stay there again if in Florence.

Good location in a peaceful area on the island of Venice. Cafes and restaurants immediately outside for breakfast and dinner. Mauro, the hotel manager, was very friendly and helpful.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, the staff were so friendly and gave great recommendations. The room was gorgeous, well maintained and beautifully decorated. Such a convenient location, could easily walk to every location we wanted to see.

I stayed at Relais with a friend for three nights in early August. The location is very convenient, within walking distance from many major landmarks in Florence. The room was clean and comfortable (the A/C was especially appreciated given the time of year), and the common kitchen area was a nice place to relax and have breakfast on days with a slower start. Anna provided a lot of great suggestions for places to visit and also helped us make a couple of restaurant reservations. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Relais Cavalcanti. Anna, Francesca and the young woman who met us when we arrived were delightful. Our room -Donatello-was lovely with a view of Palazzo Signoria. The location was excellent. Walking distance of most everything we wanted and many restaurants in the area. We would stay here again1

The service was friendly. The stairs can be onerous if you have heavy luggage. The dining room was clean and you could make coffee at any time of the day or night.

I could not be happier with my stay here. I contacted them via email several weeks before my stay to ask if they would be willing to reserve restaurants for me ahead of time and they were absolutely wonderful about it and booked over 7 restaurants for me. Check in was very friendly, they provided a map of the area wifh recommendations. Cleaned the room every day which was great, cold water in the mini fridge on arrival. Location was excellent in central florence, only 15 min walk from train station and 5 to the Duomo. When my flight got cancelled and i was delayed by a day, they kindly adjusted my reservation so I didn't pay for an extra day even last minute. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This Guest House is in very central florence closed to Uffizi Galary as described. Anna is very helpful. She assists to call taxi for us on the departure day to the airport. It's nice to have some coffee, biscuits and some fruits in the morning. There are eggs as well although they are not hot. Overall I really recommend this place for its perfect location.

Fantastic location! I'm not sure you could even ask for better. Only downside (if it even counts) is that it's so centrally located that all the restaurant nearby are very touristy, but the staff provided a map highlighting areas to walk to for more local food. Rooms were clean and the shower had hot water that you could crank up to scalding ;)

This hotel is a must when staying in florence - location, location, location is just the beginning. Right in the heart of Florence and minutes away from Ponte Vecchio, what more could you ask for? Exceptional service - Anna went above and beyond to assist us with planning our holiday and I cannot thank her enough. She was amazing and her passion is what makes this hotel so beautiful, each of the rooms has so much thought and love and have been thought through for what travellers need. Thank you Anna and the team for making our stay in florence so perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Great location to everything in Florence. Francesca and Anna were very helpful and accommodating hosts. It was very clean. The breakfast was tasty with many snacks available throughout the day. I will definitely stay here again.
