I received an email the day of our arrival saying our card was declined and our stay was not guaranteed. I tried calling multiple times from our drive from Atlanta but could never reach anyone to speak to. When we arrived I explained the situation and the man that helped us did not seem to understand and was not very friendly. He then pulled out a notepad with customers names staying at the hotel & their credit card numbers written beside the names which I thought was very strange and not very secure. He then tried the number again and I asked if he should just take the card and try running it again and once he did it went through. He walked us to our room and turned on the tv. Two beach towels were in the room and when I asked for 2 extra he asked me why....I do not understand what it matters if I would like extra towels?? Our room was not cleaned thoroughly,
the bed had hair on top, under the sheets, and on the pillows, luckily I brought my own pillow and blanket from home. There was hair on the towels and in the shower as well. The facility overall has been renovated and is nice and modern, and is across the street from the beach. Based on the overall experience and customer service however, we will not be returning.
