Things have been a bit mixed up since Friday's "Airline Day of Hell" and all that fuss in getting home, and I feed bad because I haven't told you anything about the place where we stayed, and it was really spectacular. It's called Martel House and OMG was it great.
The very first thing about the place was it's location in Wilton Manors, FL Rose and I actually lived in a home in Oakland Park, FL from 2006-2015, that was less than a mile from Martell House so we knew the whole area. It's all considered Greater Ft. Lauderdale.
The pictures don't do Martell House justice. Everything in this house was top shelf and clean as a whistle. All of the appliances were top of the line latest models and the beds were incredible. Glass walled showers, indirect lighting, full service Xfinity TV with Netflix, Etc. on brand new Sony TVs, fully stocked with everything you'd need for a Fort Lauderdale vacation.
The location on the canal was superb and we had visits from the neighborhood family of wild Iguanas. The place was so nice we chose to stay there rather than running from attraction to attraction. It was just really good the whole time and I can't thank David Packard enough.
I highly, highly recommend this place if you would like a great stay in Fort Lauderdale.
