Summary:
Welcome to the historic Hirsch House, once home to ranch foreman. This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2-story home is nestled among peaceful rolling hills where you're sure to enjoy the serenity of the Hill Country. Includes a full kitchen with the basics, a gas grill, and a fire pit with beautiful views all around. Please note that fires will not be allowed during burn bans and may incur a fine.

The Space:
This historic home is nestled among rolling hills at Morris Ranch. There is another house on property that is also rented out, so you may see others, but rest assured, you will have your privacy! This property is the perfect place to enjoy the scenery of Texas Hill Country and get away from the hustle and bustle

WiFi is available, but spotty as we are out in the country and running off of a WiFi extender.


What's with the Schoolhouse?
From its humble beginnings as a center for learning, the schoolhouse became a crucible for community. Today, the Morris Ranch Schoolhouse stands poised for a new chapter. Under the stewardship of a dedicated new team, it is being reborn, reimagined for a future that honors its past while embracing the possibilities of tomorrow. The mission remains the same: to nurture knowledge, foster connection, and serve as a beacon of hope for the community.

Guest Access:
You will have full access to the entire house as well as to your own private fire pit (not shared with the other house on property).

Very clean, peaceful property
Amazing view from the front porch, easy check in and check out, well-stocked kitchen, great showers and towels, comfy beds and peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed the quiet country location. Great place to stay to attend a wedding at nearby Bonne Vie wedding venue.

We stayed here with friends for a weekend In Fredericksburg. It had everything we needed - comfortable beds, very well stocked kitchen with nice pots and pans

Run out of water
We enjoyed the first day of our stay! Unfortunately we ran out of water rhe second day, so we couldn't use the restrooms or take a shower. We cooked and brushed our teeth with bottle water. Had to leave pee in the toiltes and dirty dishes in the sink per owner instructions. Owner was kind to explain that something happened with the dwell and there was no water available for us. It was unfortunate that we paid $400 for an overnight stay and couldn't even shower.
