A wine thief is a tube used to extract a sample of wine from an oak barrel to taste or test it. The Wine Thief cottage insinuates the rustic feel of a renowned French winery. The rustic wood finishes and beautiful stone masonry will make you feel like you’re in your very own vineyard. The aesthetic brilliance of this beautiful little cottage includes vaulted ceilings, fine detailing and custom masonry. These charms are matched with deluxe modern amenities to create a stay like no other.

The place was perfect for a couples getaway! So quiet and peaceful. I'll stay there every time we come back to Fredericksburg. The hot tub was the cherry on top.

This was actually the best place to stay ever!! The little cottage was stocked with everything needed and was extremely clean. The host was very gracious and responded quickly with any problems or questions. There is a fairly secluded hot tub on the patio. The bed was super comfy. We will definitely stay here again. There are multiple cottages on the same property, which would be absolutely wonderful if you have multiple people coming. No children are allowed which makes it nice and quiet and there is a nice common area in the center. The entire property is beautifully landscaped and very tranquil. I can’t rave enough about this place. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway

My wife and I had a great stay at the Wine Country Cottages. The fact that each cottage is its own unit was great not having to hear neighbors above or to the sides. The place was extremely clean and welcoming with some pastries and fresh coffee for our mornings. We enjoyed having our own hot tub while getting away for the everyday life for.a weekend! We would absolutely recommend to friends and family to stay here while visiting Fredericksburg!

Cute and convenient

It’s a medium walk from the heart of downtown. Super clean, cute, quiet. We ended up not using the hot tub - it is on the front porch so just semi private but very clean. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, cutlery, mini fridge. If you are with friends the bathroom doors are see through so be sure you cover up. Shower was perfect. And bed was cozy AF. 5 Stars - would totally stay again.

Everything overall was awesome!

Very affordable, clean, comfortable, and the logistical location was excellent. Never been to a place that leaves as many treats and complementary welcoming amenities, very professional and detailed The only thing if we had to be picky, would be having cable or dish instead of Roku on the TV. We will be back!

Charming Cottage

My girlfriend and I chose to stay here during our most recent trip to Fredericksburg and this cottage did not disappoint! The pictures in the listing do well to convey the charm of the place. The bed was incredibly comfortable. It's a bit further from the more touristy shops/bars/wine tasting rooms than I had anticipated by looking at the map, but it's definitely worth the walk! Hosts are very responsive and professional. I'd gladly come back for a stay next time I'm in town.

Perfect Spot!

This was in the perfect location and had everything we needed. The property manager was kind to recommend places to eat and go and went the extra mile in leaving a sweet note and goodies to help celebrate my friends birthday! The hot tub was the perfect way to end a long day of walking and shopping!
