Nice views but could use some refurbishing
The views through the main windows are delightful, as is the sound of the waves as they roll in. Other noteworthy points: the twin beds in the master bedroom as well as the double bed in the middle bedroom are quite comfortable; however, those in the 3rd bedroom (closest to the door) are not; the TV is a smart tv so you can get Netflix and Amazon Prime (if you have accounts); the refrigerator and freezer are nice and large.
But on the whole we found the apartment to be a bit overpriced. Several things could be replaced, such as the dining room chairs (which are really just folding outdoor seats, and they are not very comfortable). Also, the electricity cuts off in the whole apartment every time the oven is switched on (the owner, who is very pleasant, is aware of this and looking into it), the dish towels are threadbare, both of the corkscrews are broken, there are only 2 wine glasses, etc.
As for Gran Canaria itself, the inner part of the island is lovely and even more scenic than Tenerife, in our opinion, but there are more swimmable, sandy beaches on Tenerife. Also, getting to those scenic inner parts of the island can be rather unpleasant – the mountain roads are narrow and winding, and there is often someone 2 meters behind you, honking at you unless you drive at unsafe speeds.
