Before booking my stay through Expedia, I called the hotel directly to request connecting rooms. I was assured that leaving a note via Expedia would be sufficient for the front desk to accommodate my request. After booking, I left the message and received confirmation that my request was forwarded to the front desk.
However, upon arrival at 9 PM, I was informed that there were no connecting rooms available. After a long day, it was too late to find another hotel, leaving me stuck in a situation that could have been avoided with better communication. The front desk had amended my booking to a double queen, claiming it could accommodate my request, which wasn’t the case, and I didn’t even need the double queen.
To make matters worse, the room was filthy. The carpet was dirty, the coffee maker was unclean, and the bathroom was in a terrible state. It was nothing like the photos advertised online.
The lack of communication and the unacceptable cleanliness of the room made for a highly disappointing stay. I hope the hotel management addresses these issues to prevent similar experiences for future guests.
