Sisters and Husbands Trip

We enjoyed the seclusion of the cabin. The views were amazing! The pool table and hot tub were used and enjoyed by all. We saw a family of black bears - in the driveway!😳 Very windy roads to the cabin! And very steep driveway!

Guys Trip

We have stayed here once before with the same group a couple years ago and we enjoyed the trip just as we did before. Cabin is comfortable and has everything we need. There were a lot more bears out and about this weekend but they were fun to watch from a distance. We would definitely stay here a third time!

Nice location, beautiful house. Only negative is the very steep & narrow driveway. Very challenging to approach or leave the property without stairs. People with difficulties be aware.

Improvements needed

The good parts about this cabin are the views and the close proximity to the bears. The furniture on the main floor needs to be replaced, the pleather on the recliner was worn on the headrest, floors need to be refinished. The lower level needs to be cleaned and sprayed for bugs. We ended up getting shower liners for both showers because the cloth curtains were either moldy or had mildew on them. We also sprayed for bugs around the baseboards which seemed to help for a few days, they were starting to come back as we were leaving. The deck needs a lot of maintenance, and the structural integrity seems to be in jeopardy, one rail was not fastened on one end and we nearly had someone fall off the deck down the mountain. The faucet under the lower deck does not turn off and water runs on the lower deck constantly which will cause rot one day. The hot tube could be nice if the filter was replaced and the chemicals were kept up with, until this happens I would not use in fear of getting a bacterial infection. The place could be nice if fixed up and cleaned properly.

The cabin was very clean when we arrived and was perfect for 3 couples. I recommend an SUV for this driveway, a truck had to be put in 4 wheel drive just to make it up the hill and even then the tires were spinning pretty good. There is a parking spot available but it had a construction fence up that was kind of torn down and blocking it anyone from parking there and didn't look very safe to park on anyway so we had 2 trucks on the street. There were no curtains on the main level. Within the first hour of being there we saw a family of bears, then the next night there was another family of bears but this one was climbing up into the truck that was parked on the street, leaving a dent in the side of the bed. The next night it was clear that these bears are fed when people stay in this cabin because we were surrounded with 3 different families because we had a baby bear climb on the SUV in the driveway. The cabin above us was throwing food at one of the families as well. We couldn't leave some days or nights because we were surrounded. Wifi given was incorrect, it is written by the TV. There is only one trash can in the cage so we had filled it up within the 2nd day and were piling trash in there. Also there is no coffee pot so bring your own. The deck is sturdy but it definitely has a lean to it. It was a great cabin for 6 people, but the little things started to add up and probably wasn't the best place to stay since we could hardly leave because we were surrounded.

Everything they say it is and more!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is well furnished and supplied. The hot tub is amazing and works well. The three bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. We would stay here again, even though the driveway is a story in and of itself. Loved it!

Very Unclean & Bug infested

This property was dirty upon our arrival. One of the king beds still had dirty sheets wadded up on it. There were bugs & cobwebs under the beds. One bed had a dirty pair of mens underwear under it. The worst part were Centipedes. There were dozens of centipedes crawling around in the carpet on the bottom level of the house where my husband and kids had to sleep. They were on the walls, ceiling, in the bathtubs and everywhere. It made my skin crawl. There was no vacuum to be found to vacuum any of this up so we had to sleep with it. This was the most disgusting thing I've ever slept in. The windows had finger prints and cobwebs in corners. The hot tub had stuff in the bottom of it so we could not use. We contacted the rental company as soon as we discovered dirty sheets and centipedes but never got any assistance with them. This was far too expensive for the unclean conditions. Being able to watch bear cubs off the hill below was nice, but that was the only enjoyable part.

Beautiful

The cabin was beautiful. Had amazing views and great amenities. The hot tub and pool table were great fun. And the rooms were spacious with a king size bed in each and each with its own bath. The only downfall was the scary drive to the cabin. Very narrow and steep roads. Needs a string vehicle to get to it. And the driveway should be explained a little better in the description. Its a very steep straight down hill. And the listing said it was a two parking space. But we have an suv and a large pickup truck. We were only able to fit one vehicle (the suv) in the driveway safely and still be able to turn around to get out. The other vehicle (a long truck) had to be parked at the chamber of commerce for the time of our stay because it would not fit in the driveway safely. This should be planned for if you are choosing this cabin.

Do not disturb review

FIREPLACE in living room didn't work. We couldn't connect to wifi. Couldn't connect tv because 3 remotes is very confusing...maybe leave some directions . An SUV should be recommended because driveway is dangerously steep. The bottom of our van drug terribly going in and out of driveway. An extra light outside for evening grilling. But, we still had a good experience.

Disappointed

This house was infested with millipedes, hundreds. Management did send orkin out after I made them aware and sent pictures as proof, but it appeared orkin didn’t even enter the cabin. The two rooms that had the worst infestation of millipedes were the two lower bedrooms. Without entering the home it would be nearly impossible to spray around these two rooms since they back up to the side of the mountain. I’m extremely disappointed that this house clearly was infested and it definitely had a negative impact on our vacation. We were required to vacuum up bugs at least twice a day, and I had to sweep the main floor at least twice a day as well. We were extremely concerned because we had my one year old crawling around the floor and didn't want her safety jeopardized. Truly this is just unacceptable and not quality living conditions for anyone. This is not what we paid for. Clearly we would not have booked this place had we known of the conditions. We did get a small refund for our troubles after I had complained once our stay was over. There were a few other issues (bedroom tv didn't work, toilet seat was cracked) that i didn't even bother to bring up. If there were no bugs this place would have been perfect and wonderful and I would have given it 5 stars.

Millipede Nightmare

I wanted to give this property a 5. I really did. Everything from the location to the views, to the internet connection (Both the WIFI and the mobile data were super good) were fantastic. Everything about this cabin was perfect on paper. However, we showed up to VACATION in Tennessee only to be met with hundreds of millipedes EVERYWHERE. On the floors, the stairs, the walls, the bathtubs, showers, toilets, and even sinks. We contacted the company and they sent a cleaning lady and a pest control man but we had to wait until the next day. The cleaning lady said she "had never seen anything like this in a cabin" and proceeded to take pictures to show her supervisor (Never heard from them afterwards, but they are only the cleaners). A few hours later, the Orkin guy showed up and hosed down the cabin with some sort of spray. The whole cabin now reeked of pesticide. The guy was super chill and he proceeded to tell us that he has been to THAT specific cabin multiple times recently to spray. If the pest control guy has to show up multiple times in a short span of time, DO NOT RENT OUT A CABIN TO CUSTOMERS!!!! We hoped this would be the end of it and that we could finally enjoy our expensive stay at this cabin. But no.... This problem continued throughout our 5 day stay, from the moment we arrived to when we packed our cars and left. We departed exhausted from being up until midnight cleaning and vacuuming our rooms so we could pretends the millipedes were gone and we could sleep. This does not even cover everything else. We found one of the doors for the property was open in the downstairs balcony and someone's old Croc shoe. The balcony swing which was shown in the pictures was busted and thrown off to the side of the balcony. The railings were disgusting so one of my friends went through most surfaces she could reach with Clorox wipes and they were almost black with dust and lord knows what else. Oh, and on the last night, our friends staying in the lower right room came home to find a mouse stuck in the bathtub, unable to climb out along with possible droppings on the sink by their toothbrushes. We were unable to capture the mouse to release outdoors so that mouse is still chilling somewhere in that cabin. As stated, We contacted the company multiple times and they didn't even offer a refund. I flat out told them were were expecting compensation for this stay. Out of the over $2,000 we paid, they only refunded the cleaning fee. Gee, I'm sure tha

Diabolical Uninformed Debacle

If you don't mind dirty razors under cabinets, cans of raid sitting out, dirty sheets, poor communication, being told to leave the property for a pest control guy to come spray only to then that they never said any of it, and beds, floors, and walls covered in centipedes then this is your property of choice. We showed up to the property and there were centipedes EVERYWHERE. On the counters, on the floors, on the tables, in the tubs, in the sinks, on the walls, and in the beds. Our upstairs bedrooms sheets were covered in either make up or blood not really to sure what was there. We called and complained they had us get in contact with a manager in Florida who spoke with us, we sent photos and videos only to have them never reach back out. The next day they had house cleaning come to "vacuum the fully militarized small nation of centipedes and change the sheets. They never did. They came and opened the door and tossed a yellow bag of linings in the cabin. We spent thousands of dollars for a get away that turned into a nightmare. Asked for compensation as we didn't spend the day at the cabin after being told to leave and for the presentation of the cabin and pest issues. They compensated us two fifty for clean up fees. This was a terrible cabin with terrible service and I urge you to seek a cabin else where if you're wanting to enjoy your stay hassle free. If you want to experience an insect-topia and ridiculous run around customer service by all means have at it.

Great Cabin with a Great View

The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. Each of the three bedrooms were plenty big and had its own bathroom with both a shower and a jacuzzi tub. Each also had an incredible view. There are four full bathrooms. We had two bears show up our first night at the cabin. It is in the woods and seems secluded, although you are just a few minutes from Gatlinburg. We loved everything about this cabin, except the driveway. It is very steep and we scraped the bottom of our rental every time we came in.

Favorite cabin we have stayed in

Wonderful cabin! Great views! Great porches! Comfortable beds! Great location! The AC was not working one morning and they had it repairs within the hour. Saw a momma and two baby bears at the cabin so that was super cool too! Really appreciated the large about of TP, dishwashing detergent etc available!

Not worth the price!

I have several complaints which I tried calling for 2 days straight and was told someone would call me back. I also tried email and no response after 3 nights at the cabin. There are several holes in carpet in bedrooms. The cabin sounds like it’s going to fall apart. One bathroom above toilet is missing part of ceiling. Trash outside of cabin on both sides. Driveway was the worse I’ve ever seen. No parking on street like they said. Part of railing near driveway was laying in driveway. Not kid friendly. Not good customer service at all.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME, roaches & black mold.

From day 1 the heating/air was not working no one ever came & fixed it. Could not use the upstairs bed room/bathroom due to black mold on the exposed rafters in bathroom. Couldn't open a single cabinet in the kitchen without roaches crawling everywhere. Yes they did send pest control out on the 2nd day but there was no quick fix for the amount of roaches there were. Website claims hot tub is drained after each booking which is impossible cause it was disgusting. Looks like everyone just throws trash off the back porches. Drive way is unique but we were willing to look past that, the rest of the issues 100% ruined our stay.
