Cozy Mountain Getaway, puronäkymä, yksityinen pääsy Glenville-järvelle

Pohjois-Carolinan vuoren mökki, josta on näkymä Cedar Creekille ja avattu pääsy Glenville-järvelle vain muutaman minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Mökissämme on 3 tasoa, joista päästään keskitasolle. Siellä on 3 makuuhuonetta, (2 kuningatar, yksi kuningas / isäntä). Kerroksessa on yksi sänky / kylpy. Tämä mahdollistaa optimaalisen yksityisyyden, olipa kyseessä iso tai suurempi perhe, aikuisten lasten tai useiden ystäväperheiden kanssa, joilla on pieniä lapsia. Jokaisessa kerroksessa on tilaa ylimääräistä nukkumatilaa varten, koska jokaisessa on olohuone tai den-alue, johon ilmapatjat (ja tulevat nukkumasohvat) mahtuvat helposti.
Kaksi täyspitkää peitettyä kannet tarjoavat upean ulkotilan pää- / keskitason ja alemman tason päällä nauttia upeasta metsäisestä ympäristöstä, leutoista päivistä ja hiljaisista öistä tai jopa sateesta. Se on aina kaunis paikka hengailla. Mökissä on kolme kaasutakkaa - yksi jokaisessa kerroksessa. Pääkerros: olohuoneessa, alakerrassa: aukko, yläkerros makuuhuoneessa.
Pää- / keskitaso: täysi keittiökeittiö, omistettu ruokailutila, olohuone ja 1/2 kylpyamme sekä pääkerroksessa queen-makuuhuone / täysi suihkuhalli. Alemmalla tasolla on olo / den tila, kuningatar makuuhuone / täysi kylpyamme, työpöytä / työalue ja pesula.
Yläkerrassa on oleskelualueparvi, josta on näköala alapuolella olevaan olohuoneeseen, ja king-master-sviitti, jossa on takka, poreallas ja täysi suihku kylpy kaksoisallasineen.
Niin rentouttava et koskaan voi mennä alakertaan! (Wink!).

Mökki sijaitsee aivan Hwy 107: n päässä, 4 mailia pohjoiseen Kassien risteyksestä 64 W ja Hwy 107, (joka on 12 mailin päässä Highlandsistä). Hwy 107 kulkee suuren ja kauniin Glenville-järven itäpuolella; kotimme on vain muutaman sadan metrin päässä HWY 107: stä ja Glenville-järvestä. Kulku on päällystetty, mutta epäsuotuisissa olosuhteissa suositellaan etuvetoista, nelivetoista tai 4-pyöräistä ajoneuvoa.

Tämä on kaunis käsityöläistyylinen koti, hyvin rakennettu, jossa on paljon yksityiskohtia ja huolenpitoa, omaksumaan ympäristö. Siellä on monia ikkunoita ja paljon kuistilla tilaa. Ostimme sen alkuperäiseltä omistajaperheeltä. Teemme joitain henkilökohtaisia muutoksia tehdäksemme siitä oman, ajan mittaan, mutta se on erinomaisessa kunnossa, selvästi rakastettu ja hoidettu. Olemme vaihtaneet kaikki matot (6/2019) ja lisänneet takasorauksen. Prosessissa lisätään pääsy alemmalle tasolle takasorakäytöstä.
Edessä ajotieltä sisääntulo on jyrkkä, mutta päällystetty, mikä johtaa ajotieltä pysäköintiin talon edessä. Taka-asema vaatii tällä hetkellä 4WD tai kaikki WD
 (Se voi olla hankalampi säällä ilman 4WD: tä; emme ole vielä olleet siellä talven läpi).

A perfect place for a weekend getaway!
We had a wonderful stay. The kitchen was well appointed with more than enough pots, pans and cutlery to cook a great meal. My wife loved sitting on the back porch, in the quiet to read a book. The beds were comfortable. We would absolutely love to stay there again in the future. The only downside was the Florida Gators commemorative cups…I kid…GO DAWGS! Seriously, we loved our time here.

Near Glenview Lake and Access to Cedar Point.
House was fine. Be prepared for lots of stairs which was not a problem for us. Wi-Fi is spotty at best. Streaming for movies is poor. No cell service at the house. Very close to Lake Glenville and access to the parking at the cedar point was a nice plus. Master bedroom was nice on the third floor. We did encounter a few issues while we were there. We fixed ourselves or worked with owner to get resolved. The house does sit on Bee tree road which turns out to be a busy road and lots of road noise.

Beautiful Spring Break.
Easy access entering the home at check in. Home is private and enjoys a view of the lake and a stream a short way down the hill. The three bedrooms are all comfortable and private. Master suite is huge! My wife and I went there with my daughter’s family which includes 2 teenagers. The home accommodated the 6 of us very comfortably. We all agreed we would return for another stay in the future.

Private, relaxing and well maintained.
Everything was as advertised and shown in the photos. Very easy to work with Jeff and he was quick to respond. The master bedroom and lower suite are awesome if you want some private and very roomy space. Lots of hikes and waterfalls nearby and Ingles grocery just down the road has Everything you will need if you plan to cook while you are there. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were great.

A Lovely Fall Retreat
This is a lovely cabin nestled in the woods. The photos on the website accurately portray the property. The access is via a very steep driveway. Gas fireplaces make it comfy and cozy and you don't have to go looking for wood. There were a few spices, oil and vinegar, salt & pepper, flower & sugar in the pantry, probably left by prior renters. The refrigerator is totally cleaned out: no mayonnaise, mustard or ketchup so you will have to provide those items. Paper towels and toilet paper and dish detergent were there but you should replace whatever you use. Beds and pillows were comfortable. No odors. No fragrances used in laundry (which was really great since I am allergic to these things). The owner is extremely responsive. Access is through a keypad on the door.

Great Getaway in a Secluded Location
The best part of the property was the creek across the street. The kids enjoyed playing there. The directions and check-in were easy. The property was clean and well maintained. Jeff was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The only two concerns were the slow internet during the day and the steep roads to the property. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was perfect for our escape into nature! The proximity to the lake and the rushing creek were amazing. The cabin itself was lovely. Plenty of space for three couples. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in all the sounds of nature. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next vacation!

Summer vacation
The house was beautifully set up. Lovely woodwork and decor. House was clean, well stocked, and helpful directions in the binder. The dining area was inviting. Felt like we were in the woods. My adult children liked the separate bedroom spaces with their own bathrooms. Living spaces were small for my group. Internet was slow and spotty. There is no air conditioning which made for a warm home in upper 70s and moist days. Being near the lake was lovely and having access to the boat club was fun. Boats to rent were nearby. Plenty of good places to hike, eat and shop.

Lake Glenville is a gem
Partner and I took 4 teenage boys (2 kids + their friends) for a few days to stay in the woods, fish, boat, walk, de-digitalize...and we had a great time. House was plenty large for us to spread out and all have some space, but cozy enough to have dinner together and cookout on the balcony. Boys had fun walking and discovering the area, including woods, pond, lake, etc...which we all loved because it did not require a screen to look at! Boating on Lake Glenville with the help of the very friendly people at Signal Ridge Marina (right down the road) was amazing- great views and seemed as if we had the lake to ourselves. Cashiers and Sapphire provided some restaurant relief and brewery visits for us when it rained. We had a great few days away and were rewarded for finding a new place that we had never heard of before. Jeff was great to work with in communicating instructions and for questions during our visit. Lake Glenville is a gem, and Jeff's property helped us fully enjoy it.

A beautiful home in the mountains
This one hit all of my three requirements: Clean, good beds, good location. Owner was very helpful and easy to deal with. My two boys loved each having their own bathroom (my oldest got the downstairs suite and it was hard to get him out of there) and all three beds were fantastic. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the premium cabinetry made me jealous. The owner noted that it may be difficult for some going up/maneuvering the driveways. The new short driveway is the easiest, but it's steep and your car needs to be in first gear to get up. For those older folks, be aware that this home is on the side of a mountain and therefore has three levels and lots of stairs. The bottom porch had no seating, only a hammock and a bunch of cut wood pieces/tools/junk taking up more than half of the space. Those should be removed if you're going to rent the place and perhaps a couple of chairs be put out there. Also, it's a beautiful area - a small table and chairs on the top porch so we can eat outside would have been nice. You should also be aware that HughesNet, the internet provider, is iffy in the area. We had good wifi but terrible internet most of the time, and owner tried to get it fixed, but HughesNet was not cooperating. Neither Verizon nor T-Mobile had cell service anywhere in Glenville. There is a booster in the house, but it made zero difference in cell coverage. And finally, the main reason I took off one star: No A/C and a thermostat that showed it was actually cooling(!). I didn't notice there was no A/C on the listing, my bad, until we contacted the owner to find out why the A/C wouldn't come on when it was over 80 degrees in the house. It's true that A/C isn't needed much in the mountains and requires maintenance even when not used. But this is an expensive property and it never occured to me that a property in this price range wouldn't have A/C. Summary: Great place, could use a couple of minor improvements.
