Although it was comfortable and well equipped, there was a lot of wear and tear on the room we were in. It needs a renovation and upgrade to the furniture, paint and baseboards.

Friendly staff but overall an aging building. Elevator is stupid slow. Workout room is a joke with some equipment that must be 30 years old. Nice outdoor hot tub. Room was fine, but could use with new curtains/shades, especially if you face the mountain as they keep a bright light on for some reason. Can't beat the location, but like all things RCR they really could use to invest in maintenance and upkeep a bit more.

Great Stay

Front desk was very friendly and helpful ! One bedroom condo was comfy and had great kitchen with everything you would need. Great jacuzzi and easy walking distance to gondala & cafe that had amazing breakfast and lunch !

It was a treat to stay at this property and walk right out to the Kicking Horse gondola to ski. Getting luggage up and down the enormous front staircase was annoying as I opted to not pay to park underground, and then there was no luggage cart to be found once in the main entrance. Having to check in at the ‘main lodge’ was odd and added extra commotion to the whole experience. I enjoyed the room and everything in it was fine. I only had one pack of decaf coffee upon arrival, and it would have been nice if the outdoor seating area would have been shoveled. I would have sat outside in my snow gear and enjoyed a hot coffee and the view. The hot tub was great and I had it all to myself one evening, the following evening there were no towels restocked which made things annoying again. I would come back though, such a terrific location and the little village in the back was great.

You dont get any closer to the lifts than this. Great facilities and the best Ski in Ski out option in Kicking Horse bar none

Our room 407 was in the secondary building and the bed was so soft you basically couldn't sleep in it. There are very limited dining options and the Peak cafe was only place open last two nights and the food was average at best

Ski in-out was great. Sadly, the hot tub was out of order, so we were unable to use it. Mini kitchen in the room was helpful.

We were quite disappointed by our experience. The check in was awful. We chose not to pay for underground parking which turned out to be a mistake. We had to haul all of our luggage up a flight of slippery (not shoveled) stairs! It was super dangerous. Our ski locker they gave us was actually being used by someone else which was quite concerning, security wise. I called to get another one, but they couldn’t provide us with one that evening. There are signs EVERYWHERE that say you can’t take skis or boots into the rooms, so we had no options. We also had a 1bedroom suite that was not at all what the pictures looked like. It had a pretty well stocked and working kitchen. The bed linens and towels were not enough for 4 people so I had to call and ask for more. The front desk staff oddly gave us multiple reasons why they shouldn’t bring us more sheets and towels. I insisted and they did bring them quickly. The room was on the 4th floor and insanely hot all the time, even though it was only -18C outside. All heaters were off and we had to leave the windows open to be able to sleep at night. There are very few eating options around so you almost have to cook in your room or go to Golden. We chose to cook but they didn’t clean the room once in our 4 days, so we ended up with a mound of garbage, recycling and pool towels. I definitely would not pay the premium price for this hotel again. It has the best location but was not worth the money!
