Used to be a great hotel
This used to be a great hotel back in the day, but you can really see the decline. Check in was fine. The carpets in the hallway looked really old and somewhat dirty, but it’s winter. Got to the room, bathroom light was flickering but still went on. The next day, the bathroom light stopped working. Went to call the front desk to find that the phone, though plugged in, was old and not working. Walked to the front desk at 2:00 pm and asked someone to fix the light, was told it would be fixed. Got back at 9:00 pm and it wasn’t fixed. Walked back to the front desk and said that the light still wasn’t working. The lady at the desk said, “well, do you want someone to come and fix it???” Ummmm…yeah, that’s why I walked down there! Had a guy come to the door about ten minutes later, and he looked like he was from two rooms over rather than a representative of the hotel. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was surrounded by what looked like crime scene tape. You could hear people in the hallway like they were in the room with you. No in room fridge. This used to be a great hotel but it appears that it’s on the downward slope of the hill towards becoming another run down relic. Honestly? It could be a great hotel again but it appears that the people running it don’t really care anymore. Good things? Comfy bed, restaurant on site, parking lot was well lit, water pressure was great, bigger room than expected.

The property needs updating bath soap dispenser not functional and I had a room with the door lock broken and another room with the main light broken. I paid for day I could not use the room checked out early but was still charged for extra day

Front desk staff was abrupt & rude. The closest elevator was broken and we had to navigate a long distance to get to an elevator to go to and from our rooms. The hotel wheelchair was defective & hazardous. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff were attentive and friendly - we enjoyed the breakfast employees & the breakfast dining atmosphere. Proximity to the airport was a plus, the shuttle driver was charming.

Check in was quick and my niece enjoyed the free chocolate chip cookie. The room was clean and spacious. The refrigerator was cold and the bed was comfortable. There were no trash bags in the garbage bins and not enough towels for 4 people, but all we had to do was ask. Overall it was very pleasant and we will stay again.

The ac/heater in the room was very loud. It was a cold night and every time it kicked in, the decibel level jumped way up. It was very annoying. Also, at this point I have been spoiled by rooms with a small fridge and microwave and found the lack of these small amenities really annoying.

Definitely NOT a 4 stars hotel. The elevator is out of service so I have to walk a long distance to use other elevators. The carpet is old. Lightning could be better.

Breakfast was great!
Very friendly staff. I had some issues and they were more than happy to help me. Rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. I did feel the rooms were quite basic, no fridge or microwave and small. The pool is not very child friendly. It has a quick drop off to over 7 ft. It was thankfuly marked with a rope, still made me nervous. 100% recommend getting the breakfast!

Check in, lady asked how may I help you and the phone rang and she stopped even recognizing us at that point. didn’t say nothing else to us. Stayed on phone for more than 10 minutes. Finally another gentleman at the desk recognized the wrong doing and jumped in to save her day. He was a 10, she was a 2. The roomed and hallways are way behind on updating. Doesn’t seem up to Doubletree standards to us.

Struggled to find a working menu for the restaurant, and it took clicking through a lot of menus to be able to find out how to call for room service, all for the phone not to work. Otherwise every was clean, orderly, and well maintained. The staff were very nice, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Would likely stay here again.
