Nestled between Cherokee National Forest and Great Smoky Mountains, Rocco Top Cabin is the perfect place to get away from it all and take in breathtaking mountain views in Newport TN. Your private retreat is situated atop 18+ acres, just 10 minutes from Interstate 40 and is conveniently located to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Asheville, Maggie Valley, Knoxville, and more! For the more adventurous traveler you can explore the many nearby outdoor attractions by day.


Enjoy the privacy of this peaceful cabin which sleeps 8 (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins, and 1 Bunk Bed with Twin over Full Bed) featuring a separate loft for kids!  Relax with your morning coffee on the covered deck while watching the sun rise or sunbathe on the 2nd level overlook where you will have breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest.  Rocco Top Cabin is located just minutes from white water rafting, fishing/hunting, Moonshine distillery, and Big Creek Market.  Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are 1 hour from Rocco Top Cabin and you are just 20 minutes from Great Smoky Mountain National Park.


If you're more of a homebody, enjoy some game time in the upstairs loft featuring air hockey, foosball, wii video gaming system, and an abundance of board games. A PS4 gaming system and Nintendo Switch docking station are available (bring your own games). The great room has a 70” flat screen TV with Roku so that you can log into your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more! DVD player and dozens of family DVDs on hand to watch. Warm up by the gas fireplace during the fall and winter months or relax outdoors around the fire-pit. Plenty of comfortable seating and a large farmhouse table to accommodate intimate meals for everyone to enjoy together.

The cabin is fully stocked and professionally cleaned after each guest. It is the perfect getaway for those looking for a true mountain experience but with the comforts of home. Rocco Top is just minutes from Tennessee's best whitewater rafting opportunities on the Pigeon River, nearby Martha Sundquist State Park, Zip-lining, ATV 4-Wheeling, mountain biking, and other local attractions like Bootleggers Distillery, the Bean Trees, and more! Markets, grocery stores, Walmart, restaurants, and shopping are only 10-25 minutes away for anything you may need during your stay.


You'll have a peaceful paved drive from downtown Hartford, but may lose cell service as you enter the town - not to fear, the cabin has High Speed Internet through Starlink and you'll be able to enjoy wifi calling and streaming once you arrive at Rocco Top. The cabin is situated at the top of the 18 secluded acres with a small creek at the entrance to the property. The driveway is gravel and it may make you a little nervous on your first trip up, but once you do it a few times you'll feel like a total mountain pro, even if you're driving a minivan!

Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Downtown Knoxville, Asheville/Biltmore, Maggie Valley, Harrah's Cherokee Casino ALL within 1 hour!

This cabin was exactly what we were wanting! Rustic-log cabin feeling, large kitchen for cooking with your group, plenty of beds/sleeping room and outside area. The porches are the best for early morning coffee drinking. Easy drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Place to stay
Rocco Top was an amazing place to stay. We have stayed at a few cabins and Rocco Top was our favorite. First walking in, it was by far the cleanest place we have stayed in. I didn’t feel like I had to clean when we got there. Which most of the time you do. So that was really really nice. Especially after having a long way to travel. The second thing I noticed was how homey it felt. It’s super kid friendly! Our girls loved the room upstairs with the love sacs. We spent our time playing Mario Party on the Switch. The tv up there is really big. The cabin is about 40 minutes from Gatlinburg which we loved. The drive to Gatlinburg is beautiful and it really doesn’t seem like a 40 minute drive. So don’t let that deter you from staying. It’s also incredibly peaceful.I highly recommend booking Rocco Top.

Beautiful location; well appointed cabin, with a great view and quiet area. Very relaxing. The property was conveniently located not far off I-40, with equal distance between Knoxville, TN and Asheville, NC. Lisa was easy to communicate with.

Perfection For Us
Rocco Top was the perfect place for our stay with our niece, nephew and their 3 children. Very private with everything we needed for a great time. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to escape from the suburban scene.

This cabin has a warm and cozy atmosphere. This property is very private and secluded. We were very impressed with the "extras". An example would be enough shampoo and conditioner for five people for nine days. The kitchen was well stocked, including pancake mix, syrups, coffee, etc. Lisa is a terrific host. We especiaaly want to thank her for lwelcoming our Sberian Huskies to her cabin. They enjoyed being outside, exploring the property, and nights by the fire pit. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Get away
We enjoyed our stay in this secluded mountain destination. Close enough to our 40 to be at numerous locations that far enough off to be secluded and peaceful. The owner provided everything we needed for a great get away from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring city. We highly recommend this to anyone wanting to be in a remote location to get away!

Wonderful property! Very clean & well equipped. We had so much fun on the trampoline & games! Lisa was very responsive & helpful. It’s very close to several rafting companies & outdoor activities. Excellent experience
The house was very well equipped with pass time activities for the kids and adults. Our Girl scout trip was an amazing experience. Our girls which age range is 8 to 11 wood have enjoyed themselves immensely even if we didn't leave the cabin. The zip lining and horseback riding topped it off as one of our favorite trips on record. I would recommend the cabin to anyone, especially groups with kids.

Loved the secluded atmosphere of this cabin. Accommodated my family and I in everyway possible.. the host was also very helpful with check in and when we lost power was very understanding. Cabin could use a few upgrades but all and all a great place to stay!

Beautiful property!
Owner was awesome and we appreciated cleaning/maintenance staff repairing air hockey. It was quite a distance from activities but we knew this when booking. Very quite. Drive was steep but no probklem with 4 wheel drive truck.

Wonderful Family Trip
This was our first time in Tennessee and it was such a wonderful experience! First of all, I want to say that I was very impressed how clean it was! The house is very beautiful, comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The area is very peaceful and secluded making it very relaxing! The kids enjoyed playing the board games and the video games. Lisa was always very responsive to our questions. We definitely enjoyed our stay in this house!

If you want to be secluded this is your place!
Beautiful setting up in the mountain. Long driveway so you are by yourself and the bears. Comfortable beds and very roomy. We all absolutely enjoyed our time there!!! FYI TRy the little Market just down the road. They had very good pizza,

Great location, Cabin in the woods, but broken.
There were so many little things busted and broken. Chairs did not recline, could not go on the balcony, air hockey table fan did not work. We were only there for 3 days so it was not a big deal.
