My girlfriend and I had a pleasant stay. The place is very cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The balcony provided beautiful views of the countryside (but no protection from rainfall), sunrise and stars at night, and a slightly blocked (by trees) outlook of the variety of fireworks over July 4th celebrations. While we took in all the wonderful sounds of nature (from a smorgasbord of birds to frogs), they were occasionally drowned out by the quickly travelling vehicles whizzing by the nearby road. We enjoyed our visits to Letchworth State Park (about 45 minutes away) with its breathtaking scenery (it really is the “Grand Canyon of the East”), and other sweet spots like the Canandaigua Lake Pier (about 30 minutes) and a few others. We also found the local Churches convenient, including a must see for anyone spiritually inclined: the Abbey of the Genesee (also about 30 minutes drive). On our return drive from the Abbey, we stopped at Aunt Cookies Sub Shop in nearby Geneseo, for a delicious steak sub. Overall, a good stay, and one we would recommend to anyone thinking about visiting the area.
