This is a nice hotel in the middle of backpacker area. Shops and pedlars abound. Ben Thanh market is within comfortable walking distance. The nearby park offers a pleasant environment to watch various activities and to relax away from the heat of the day. Taxi station is right across the street - very convenient, because in the big city it's the easiest and most economical way to get around, if you don't rent a scooter.
We stayed in several rooms during our two stays in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is a bit run-down, but kept clean. Rooms are more spacious than in many more expensive hotels, and the bathrooms probably the largest we've ever seen in hotels. On the downside, not all electrical outlets worked and some showers did not give hot water.
The staff is ultra-friendly and helpful. They did everything in their power to help us in any way possible, whether arranging our trips or showing where to go in the city. Train couches, which they got our tickets for, were nicer than those arranged by other hotels.
