This was such a great spot. The views and the grounds were beautiful. The room was very nicely decorated and comfotable. The staff were fantastic and quite accomodating to our child who is a fussy eater. The 3 course meals were very good.
Zebra and wildebeest came into the gardens and the staff gave them feed so they would come closer. I would highly recommeded and hope to come back again.
The cottage was disappointing. The stairs were dangerous (tree with a flimsy rope for a rail?), the bedroom was okay but there was a drop step into the bath area! Did not like the fact that there was no bathroom privacy.
The Lodge was a nice place to stay. They served a delicious breakfast that was included in the price. It is far from town but they offered a lovely 3 course dinner each night that was extra. We saw zebras and baboons in the mornings.
The staff members are very friendly and helpful at all times.Portia and Elizabeth keep up your good work. You really best people for the job you are doing. Job well done I will keep on referring people to your place.
Thanks a lot
It was a beautiful charming place with wonderful food. We had a delicious breakfast and we were delighted to have the zebras stop by for a morning snack!
The hotel sits in wonderful grounds with zebra and other animals wandering through. Everything is catered for. The food is of high quality with very friendly staff. A pleasure tostay here and very highly recommended.
amazing and how.. the resort is world class with excellent facilities and staff. very friendly and warm to guests. Breakfast was superb and filling with choice of hot & cold dishes. Vicky the owner and her staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay there. We saw zebras on the ground close to our cottage and were amazed.. a short drive to Blyde River Canyon Dam and its a beautiful place to spend the sunset. Hoidspruit is the closest town which is around 15 minutes away by car in case you to go out for dinner etc.
Very small room but also very cozy.
We had mixed experience with the staff some where very friendly and informative and some where not very keen on service.
The breakfast was excellent.
The location was decent but not the best.
The wifi was horrible at bussy hours and this was frustrating since we had to pay to use it.
Remote and within the Botanical Gardens, we loved this quiet oasis...until 5am when the zebras appeared on our veranda - lovely to see but not so keen on the noise.
We were only there for one night but loved the cottage. It was like a home away from home. The staff was very helpful in helping us maximize our time in the area.
Rooms looked out to garden but had walkway right in front of windows so we couldn't leave the curtains open. Bathrooms were outdated. We were charged for a tourist map that we didn't ask for. We were expecting it would be much closer to the canyon. Breakfast was great and staff were attentive. We got to see zebras milling around the grounds at breakfast.
Excellent place to relax and hunker down. Friendly staff, clean hotel and good break fast. Lodge is at the bottom of the Canyon. Lots of places to walk, run, hike and bike. Very quiet and peaceful experience.
Exotic location in Blyde River Canyon Reserve with zebras and antelope wandering the grounds. Wonderful hospitality and delicious food. Beautiful, rustic decor but clean and modern facilities as well.
