Great vacation!
We've vacationed at several beaches in North Carolina, but we especially enjoyed our time at Topsail Beach. The parks and fishing areas were easily accessible, which was great as one of us has limited mobility. There were plenty of great seafood markets nearby, along with several grocery stores for anything we needed. The island also has bike paths and walking trails everywhere. One highlight was visiting the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue Center. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the island was exactly what we were looking for. Before our trip, the property manager reached out to provide us with helpful and welcoming information. When the house was ready, the local contact (who was the cleaning agent) let us know with a quick text—a thoughtful service. The house itself was older, but clean, well-maintained, and full of charm. It felt like a classic North Carolina beach house, with updates that hadn’t taken away from its cozy, welcoming feel. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. There was a new washer and dryer in the master bathroom. We especially loved the screened-in porch, which became our favorite spot for chatting and working on puzzles. Though the homes are close together, mature plants between the properties gave us a nice sense of privacy. We had a clear view of the beach. In October, the beach was wonderfully quiet, nearly empty every day. We’ll definitely consider coming back for another vacation!

Five of us spent the long weekend at this lovely location. It is right on the beach and has multiple spaces to enjoy time together or in small groups. Would definitely rent again.

Nothing Like the Pictures
Upon arriving yard was completely overgrown. Walkway to the house was over grown with bushes. Central A/C was supplemented with multiple window units and still not good enough maintain cooler than the high 70s in the house. Electrical was so poor that the electricity went out in half of the house one night and they told the electrician not to come out until the next day. Bathroom door started coming off the wall due to the hinges being rusted and the door frame being rotted. There were multiple soft spots through out the floors. Would upload pictures if allowed.

Cozy cottage with great views
We had a wonderful mini-vacation at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect size and setup for the 4 of us. We spent hours on the screen porch, and the rooftop deck was a great evening hangout spot. Would definitely rent again.

The property was just as advertised. Very comfortable. Updated has been done to kitchen and baths. Great Views. The only thing negative is an extra roll of toilet paper would have been nice has to go out and buy some on the first night. Night lights in the bathrooms would have also been nice. But all in all, a great house with all of your needs met. Sliding glass door did not lock.

Very dated house that looks like it is falling apart
It wasn’t terrible, but for the money asked it was totally below all expectations. My husband thought I am joking when we entered the very old, ruined back porch entrance with screen meshes torn and dangling. The fridge looked like it was going to fall through the floor to the foundation, the house smelled overwhelmilgly with air fresheners to conceal the smell of moisture in the house. It would be acceptable, but not for over 600 usd a day. The cottage next door is renovated and looks inviting. I hope the owners balance their expectations to even out their investment with some upgrades that justify the price. For now my family will laugh forever remembering this one time we booked an old house because it looked better on the photos.

Great house, few hiccups
This house is super cute and the perfect location on the beach. The frustrating part was the check in process- when it was time to check in at 4 pm, the cleaners were not finished and delayed us an hour and 15 min with checking in. It was raining also so it was difficult to go spend more time outside. I understand when companies are short-staffed and get behind on time- with that being said they offered us a two hour later check out time, but we were not able to take advantage of that due to needing to leave early. When I let the contact person know that we could not accept that, there was no offer in return of how else they could compensate for the late start, rather I had to send another message asking for a sort of compensation. There was not a response after that, but I had to reach out again because the sheets on my bed were completely sandy and had a huge stain that looked like mold. I sent a picture to the contact that the sheets were not cleaned properly and she responded that all the sheets had been cleaned... so I felt like that was not a helpful response being as I was the one looking right at them and could feel all the sand and see how dirty they were. Also, the sheets are what they were running behind on in the first place. We settled on getting a refund on half the cleaning fee after me having to ask for a refund yet again, nothing was offered. It was overall a fun weekend and a great house, but the costumer service made it frustrating at times.

If you are looking for a luxury beach house, this is not it! From the listing, we were aware it was an older house. It could definitely use a lot of TLC and upgrades. The house had not been cleaned very well before our arrival. Towels were sitting in the dryer and the dishwasher had not been emptied. Also the trash container outside was full and had a strong unpleasant odor. The sliding glass door was very hard to open and close. The location and beach view did meet our expectations and made it worth the stay. We enjoyed the rooftop deck and the screened in porch. We loved the area and the beach was not packed.

Vacation at Ocean Treasure
Enjoyed our stay at Ocean Treasure cottage. It was an older cottage, but the interior had been updated and cottage was very clean and roomy. Enjoyed ocean front view from roof deck and screened in porch. Owner and management were very prompt with any questions. Topsail is a great beach to vacation at.

Excellent location, adorable cottage with great bones.
Loved the location and the cottage is adorable with great potential. I realize the cottage has recent news owners and I’m hopeful that they will be making some improvements and updates. With that said we had an absolutely wonderful vacation the cottage was just the perfect size for our family of five and the beach was gorgeous. Loved the decks. Happily looking forward to see how this little treasure receives some TLC and shines like a gem.

The access to the beach was awesome and the views were beautiful. The house could use some updates in decor though and some nicer beach chairs for adults much needed. New shower heads would be nice. The AC was a bit of an issue but the owners were very quick to resolve. Enjoyed our stay at your home, however not much to do in Top Sail.
