Discover the beauty of Hollywood from this 4-bedroom river front house with private beach. Away from it all but only a quick 20 minute drive to Target, Walmart, grocery stores and more. With 3 queen beds, a rainbow bunk room with 3 twin beds and 1 full bed, there's plenty of space for everyone. The house features modern amenities like AC, WiFi, heating, and a washing/dryer machine. Additionally, there's an extra living room in the basement with 1 murphy bed and 1 futon. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Hollywood and our house has to offer.
Fish and catch crabs in our traps right off the dock or with a net if you're quick enough :) Take the kayak's and explore the river, paddle to a nearby beach for a picnic lunch and trails (15-20 min paddle). Fully stocked kitchen with lots of games and puzzles and air hockey in the basement. Rainbow themed bunk room for the kids with a pac man tiled bathroom.
Hikes to beaches with sharks teeth, marine museum with otters, lighthouses, winery, Naval air museum and playgrounds with dragons made from tires all within the area. 2 hrs from Richmond and an hour and a half from Washington, DC.
2 floors, main level has kitchen, living room, dining area, 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and 2 full bathrooms (one shower, one tub) Basement has air hockey table, living room area, rainbow bunk room with 3 twin beds and one full bed as well as full murphy bed pullout in basement common area. Pac man tiled bathroom with tub. Covered patio area with comfy patio furniture and table
House policies:
Approx half the beach is our property while the other half is our neighbors, please be respectful of their property and stay towards our dock. A sign designates the property line, do not go on their dock.
The house capacity is 12, please do not invite others over to the house that are not staying here if it exceeds the 12 person limit, even if they are not planning on spending the night. Thank you!
Surrounding area and activities:
20 minutes driving from great restaurants, target/walmart, grocery stores etc. Wonderful area with lots to explore:
-Greenwell State Park (2.9mi) - Beautiful local park a 5 minute drive from the house. Has small loop trails along the water.
-Sotterly Historic House (4.1mi) - Historic 18th-century house that sits on a high bluff with wonderful views of the Patuxent River.
-Free Rein Equine (9mi) - Horseback riding
-Downtown Leonardtown (11.5mi) - Winery, a wharf, historical sites such as the Old Jail and fine dining and unique shopping
-Myrtle Point Park (12.2mi) - beautiful park with 1-2mi loop trails. You can drive here but it's more fun to take one of our kayaks. It's a 20 minute paddle over to Dog Beach park where you can pull your kayak up, have a picnic and tour the trails
-Patuxent River Naval Air Museum (13.5mi) Get up close with amazing aircrafts and even a flight simulator
-Calvert Marine Museum (14 mi) - Interactive museum with touch tank, historical exhibits, a lighthouse you can tour inside, aquariums and my kids favorite - otters!
-Solomon's Island Boardwalk (14.7mi) - Wonderful area to walk during the summer when the ice cream shops are open
-Ann Marie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center (15.6mi) - 1/4 mile walking path showcasing sculptures, including over 30 works on loan from the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art. Also a Fairy Garden for kids to play creatively
-Calvert Cliffs State Park (18.8mi) - Hike to beaches with sharks teeth, also a creative playground made only with tires - pirate ship, cars and even a dragon to climb on
-Cove Point Park (18.8mi) - Water park with slides as well as lap pool (open seasonally)
-Piney Point Lighthouse (26.5 mi) - Historical lighthouse you can tour and climb to the top
-Lots of boat tour options to include sunset tours, fishing/hunting, crab fest and even a floating tiki shack boat - a unique way to tour the Patuxent River - Let me know what you're interested in and I can send links :)
-Various wineries - Xella Winery and Vineyard, Port of Leonardtown Winery, Cove Point Winery
