The pool isn't the greatest as it doesn't have a view and it's surrounded by walls. Personally, I didn't stay here for the pool because I knew I was going to the beaches and explore all day. It was convenient and nice to come back to the hotel at night and have a bunch of shops, markets and food accessible to me. Parking is kind of tight but I managed. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I would totally stay here again.

Everything was nice and the staff were very kind and helpful. There was a few small stain on some of the furniture and the bathroom was kinda small. Would definitely recommend for single travelers.

I’d give the property a solid 3.5 if that was an option. Can get really loud being next to the main streets if you’re on a lower level. The room was ok definitely not bad compared to some hotel rooms I’ve been in. Location for the hotel is amazing if you like to walk and have good food.

We enjoyed the Waikiki Malia for the convenience of walking around for shopping and restaurants. The room was pretty spacious compared to other comparable hotels in the area which was really nice. The parking structure is a little uneasy with the tightness and steep ramps, but nice that it is right next to our hotel. Cleanliness is alright, unfortunately there were ants in the microwave. I think the microwave may see more cleaning if it were located near the elevators instead of down at the end of the hall.

This property rated a 4.5 stars and it was def not! First off the parking was terrible the structure is horribly built! Plus they charge you additionally per day plus extra fees on top as well as a resort fee! It’s not even a resort first off they have only ice machines on level 9/15 so you have to get to those floors to get that.. most hotel have it on each floor. Also no microwave in the room only in floor 9/15 as well. The elevator is horrible only one goes to parking and it’s hard to get it on your regular floor you have to catch the elevator down to 1st floor then back up to the car lot. The pool is so small they don’t have anything else going for them honestly besides being close to the shopping areas. If you considering staying here just know they charge $35 parking a day plus the resort fee of $30 so add $65 a day to your charges might as well stay at a better hotel that’s an actual resort..!

It is a good value hotel.
It was very accessible to shopping malls and restaurants near Waikiki Beach, and the staff were all very friendly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner temperature was well controlled in the room, which was satisfactory. What was disappointing was that the bathtub in the bathroom had a bit of a smell as if it hadn't been renovated, and the shower was also very old. If the bathrooms were improved, it was a good value hotel that I would want to go back to whenever I go to Oahu.

We had a pleasant 4 night stays at the Hotel Malia. Staffs are always friendly and the location is great, in the middle of everything. Housekeeping comes in daily to make the beds and do the light cleaning that’s awesome.

An 8 day away trip in Waikiki beach for a single traveler. Central location with lap pool and hot tub. Close to beach and shopping and restaurants and bars. Ideal to explore city. Their bus service excellent so getting around great. I would stay again.

Check-in was tedious and when we finally got the room, my daughter went into the washroom and yelled out “there’s hair hanging off the bathtub faucet!”. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, the air had a lingering musky smell. For a “newly renovated room”, it was definitely false advertising. Not to mention, terribly Noisy and the constant sound of toilets from other units flushing. Ultimately my fault for second guessing a “newly renovated” room at a 3-star hotel. Will not be returning here.
