A great stay for New Years
We stayed here over New Year's while attending a bowl game, and overall, it was a great experience. The neighborhood and the house gave off the vibe of a place I might have lived in during college or a first home after graduating—definitely a good starter home. We expected fireworks to go off around the neighborhood for New Year’s Eve, but it was more than we anticipated. The fireworks went on well into the late night, which kept my wife up late. If you're planning to stay here during a holiday where fireworks might be a factor, you might want to reconsider unless you're okay with staying up late. We're not— we're old and usually asleep by 10 p.m.!The house itself was clean and had nice furniture. The kitchen was great, though I do wish it was stocked with coffee pods or at least had a different coffee machine than the Keurig. I don't use a Keurig, so I had to buy a 24-pack of pods, which was unnecessary for our short stay. It’s a small detail, but it was just one more thing to buy on a quick run to the nearby Target.The beds were okay, but they had a bit of a sag when you sat on them, and they were noisy, so whenever I got up in the night, it woke everyone up. Not ideal. Also, I noticed ants in the master bathroom on the second night, which I took care of myself. Didn’t feel it was worth mentioning to the owner, but just something to note.Despite these small issues, the house was overall a great place to stay. It felt safe, and there were no major problems.
