When we arrived, they told us the elevators were not working and gave us a room on the 3rd floor. We took our luggage up to our room and once we got in, we realized that it was dirty. The sheets clearly had stains on them, and we tried to call down to the front desk, but the phone calls didn’t go through. I called the reservation line and talked to someone from La Quinta And they told me to go down and talk to the front desk. Once I came down to let them know that we were actually going to be leaving because of the conditions of the room you could tell the guy at the front desk was a little bit rude and asked “if we just now had realized that?” .. Well, after Going up three flights of stairs with all of our luggage we wanted to secure another hotel room before bringing everything down. They never answered the phone to let them know what was going on so it has been around 30 mins before we came back down …
They stated that their phone lines were down, which is why they weren’t able to receive any calls. The guy gave me a receipt to return my $50 deposit, but said that I would need to contact Expedia for my refund.
I contacted Expedia and they said they needed to get a Hold of the hotel to see about the refund. I did advise them about the phone lines being down. Expedia has stated that they are unable to process a refund because the hotel has not approved the refund well their phone lines are down which is pretty convenient for them. Don’t waste your time/money with Expedia.
