A new building in the center of a historic town, with modern gardens in front and back, offering every contemporary comfort, from a high-end chef’s kitchen to a whole-house wireless mesh and smart tv, the home has been designed by an artist and a builder, both knowledgeable hosts who have lived in Hudson and the surrounding area for over twenty years. The building is around the corner from The Maker and two doors down from the Islamic Center, located at the heart of town on a residential block that is proudly diverse, where the hosts also reside.
Guests have access to the two-story townhouse from the main door, with street parking in front and off-street parking in back, behind the garden gate. Balconies on each floor overlook a shared garden, which includes a dining table and grill. A shared basement-level laundry room with steam washer and dryer is accessed from the main interior stair.
The hosts are available in the immediate vicinity and happy to provide tips and information to guests as desired, as well as to quickly address any questions or issues.
The building is a short walk from the Amtrak station, around the corner from The Maker, down the block from the Islamic Center, and two blocks from a park overlooking the Hudson River.
Guests can reach the building by taking the Amtrak to Hudson and walking a few blocks or by calling a taxi once they arrive, which should charge $5 or less for the short trip from the station. Guests with cars can easily drive to the building and park in front, on the street, or in back at the designated off-street parking spots behind the garden fence. Once guests arrive, they can easily get around town by foot or by bicycle. Taxi services are also available for longer excursions.
It’s easy and convenient to park in front of the house, where spots are typically available, with alternate side parking occurring only one time per week, at which point guests may wish to park on-site, behind the building, in the parking spaces accessed via the alley. Guests may receive mail and packages at the building, and they will receive notifications on their phone from the doorbell cam when anyone rings.
