WANT A WET WALK TO BREAKFAST?

Pros: the people serving breakfast were attentive, much better than the crew working the bar in the evening
on arrival I found out that rooms have no indoor connection to the bar, restaurant or reception area, access was via street and it rained a lot during my stay. The advertised free parking was several hundred meters away. entry to rooms area was by a steep stone staircase "OK",but coming down the same steps at night was dangerous due to the floodlights for the facade being situated in the basement area shining directly into my face - effectively blinding me. food was pub standard room was fully carpeted and smelled musty, towels and bed linen had obviously been laundered in some heavily scented washing powder, bathroom fixtures were out of the ark, no mixing taps. The window looked out onto a fence that was about 2 feet away, could not get it open to get fresh air nor could I reduce the heat from the ancient radiator - the valve wheel came off in my hand as soon as I touched it

The staff is always very friendly and helpful and it simply feels more personal than one of the big hotel chains. The suites are large, well decorated and have good facilities

Very nice traditional hotel. Lovely big room slippers and bath robes provided. Excellent breakfast. Close to centre.

Very pleasant hotel and convenient for city centre

Pros: situated in a quiet part of Hull
Location: Theatre very close by also convenient for the Ferens Art Gallery and Maritime Museum
My husband and I syayed for two nights. Lovely quiet bedroom and an excellent breakfast.

Friendly, Comfortable and great food

Pros: The friendliness and the food
Cons: Water pressure is low so shower could be better
Location: Close to New Theatre and all the attractions
Lovely hotel, the staff are friendly and welcoming and never seem to stop smiling. Not a chain so the facilities and rooms are individual and charming. Bed was comfortable and the room spotlessly clean. The food was excellent and great value and the breakfast one of the best I have had, quality bacon and sausage, none of the cheap stuff, would have liked some beans with it though.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Warm, comfortable room. Great cooked vegetarian breakfast. Free parking very close by for the duration of stay. Really good value for money.

Lovely hotel in central quiet square

Warm welcome. Room spotlessly clean. Had a tasty meal in the comfy bar our first night. Excellent location to explore the old town and museum quarter. Also convenient for shopping centre
