The home itself is great. It is renovated very nicely, the beds are comfortable, and it is in a very nice neighborhood. We had no complaints about the property. However, the check in process through the rental management company was the worst experience we’ve ever had. A brand new phone was needed to do the facial recognition that was required. We had 3 phones with us and only 1 was “new” enough. When we called and explained that we were having trouble with the app, we were told it had to be completed or we would forfeit the money paid. Once we finally got it to work, and we received the check in information, it said it was too early to check in. At this point is was 7 pm, and check in time was 3 pm. So, we had to call again for it to be activated. The ad says that there are “no service fees,” however, the home was listed at much less than what we ended up paying. (Yes, we knew that when we paid, but that seemed like very false advertising). We questioned that and were told there is no longer a “host fee,” yet our fees showed a host fee plus an additional Vrbo service fee. Once we paid, we were asked if we had a pet, which we noted that we did. The listing had mentioned a possible pet fee, so we were prepared to pay more, but were asked to pay an incredibly high price for 1 dog! To their credit, they lowered the fee to a more reasonable amount when we asked. We would recommend to the home owner to find a new property management company or to deal directly with VRBO.
