The hotel is conveniently located, close enough to town centre, but on a quiet street. The room was very spacious and had a large kitchenette with lots of cabinets, dishes, cutlery, small fridge and microwave. Our room was on the first floor and had a small seating area separated for privacy with lush greenery and easy access to swimming pool. The staff of the hotel were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again or recommend this lovely hotel.

Nice new hotel within walking distance to everywhere (most are...it's a small island)! Nice to have a refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. The only thing on the negative side was that the pool was not very clean looking.

Naj Casa is close to the action of the El Centro but far enough to enjoy peaceful rest from the beach music scene. About a 4 to 5min walk gets you to the center and another 2 to 3min beyond the center is the beach. Outside of the hotel can be a little tricky navigating puddles and I can understand the rainy seasons could get frustrating. This is not Naj Casa's fault. You're visiting a sandbar NOT an island. Showing up with the expectation of paved roads will only hurt you. Taking Hernan Cortes to Tiburon Ballena to get to the center and the beach was the easiest and driest route! Adrian was very helpful with setting up transportation to and from the Cancun airport (door to door service) as well as arranging tours. Karina provided relaxing massages and always had lovely a attitude and great suggestions for our island stay. Mari carried my heavy bag up to our room without question. All of the staff worked hard to keep the space clean and inviting. Having a kitchenette with actual dishes, a mini fridge, coffee maker and a microwave made the room that much more cozy for sleeping in and enjoying leftovers. The only negative is the hot water runs out fast in the shower! It was a good reminder to save water by turning off the shower while lathering. My partner and I would absolutely return!

Naj Casa was a great choice for my stay on the island. The property is extremely clean, well kept, and the rooms are impeccables. The staff at the front desk are super friendly and accommodating. The open air morning breakfast on the hotel roof top is a convenient way to start your day. The area restaurants, small retail stores, grocery markets, convenience stores, street vendors, beach clubs, etc, are all within walking distance from the hotel.

Left in the cold....

Got left in the cold literally, called for my shuttle, walked to the area and no shuttle was there, called back after waiting for 20 min in the freezing cold at 2am, then she sent the shuttle again, not friendly or welcoming at all on the phone or in person... was supposed to get a free early check in with my gold status with hotels.com which was not honored and I was charged $75, so if you have gold status don't think that the things listed as perks actually will be... so tried to get help from hotels.com and they called the hotel and the staff just hung up on them... how professional... difficult to get any help, called multiple times to front desk and no answer, it's a busy place with maybe not enough staff for good service... the service at the restaurant was very good though, very friendly and the shuttles going into town and the train station were efficient... the driver at night also wasn't very friendly didn't even get out to greet me or help with my bag... would never stay here again as I didn't feel very welcomed...

We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend. Location is brilliant, just a 5 min walk from the ferry. The food at the hotel was really nice and you’re just around the corner from the Main Street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They even offered us a bucket of ice for our wine (that we brought!). The pool was lovely - we spent the whole first day there. A good number of sun loungers and two outdoor beds to relax on. The bar service was brilliant too. The only negatives were that it was a little noisy - construction going on next door. We were only offered one room key and were told we would need to pay a 500mxn deposit for a second one. Also, the power/water cut out at random points during our stay. We would still highly recommend staying!

Won’t stay here again

The actual hotel is fine. This is my 4th trip to the island but my first time staying at this property. Holbox always has an issue when it rains. The streets become muddy and there will be standing water in some places. However, Naj Casa had the whole street in front of the hotel full of disgusting water knee deep. We had two rooms booked. One for myself and my wife and one for my older father. His room did not have hot water. They attempted to fix it but could not. 4 days and no hot water. They offered to move him to a room on the second floor but we needed him on the first floor because he does not navigate stair well. Finally we lost power and water in the hotel. Losing power is always an issue on the island. However when it affects being able to flush a toilet it can really cause issues.
