Secluded, kid friendly, and only 23 miles to West Yellowstone! Cozy Critter Cabin is the perfect home base for all your outdoor adventures! We are located in a quiet and secluded area of Island Park, yet close to everything you want to do. Built in the early 1970’s Cozy Critter Cabin is a 1400 square foot classic cabin with some vintage charm. The main level has the original wood walls with rough cut espresso colored beams stretching across the new knotty pine vaulted ceiling. Additional lighting has been added so you can enjoy the level of lighting that best suits your desires. The original wood burning stove has a new brick hearth adding rustic beauty and cozy warmth to the cabin. Sitting on nearly 3/4 acres of property amidst towering pine trees and aspens growing amidst beautiful wildflowers in the warmer months.
Sit on the front deck while you relax and enjoy a cup of locally roasted coffee or tea provided for your stay before you begin your adventures for the day while you sit and take in the beauty of the forest. Prepare your meals in the well stocked kitchen with all the cooking basics plus an Instant Pot, coffee pot, coffee grinder, stovetop water kettle, electric griddle, toaster, blender, and a hand mixer. Enjoy your meals indoors at the spacious table or outdoors at the picnic table in the warmer months. Wind down at the end of the day at the outdoor fire pit with s’mores and fireside conversation. In case inclement weather keeps you from your outdoor adventures we have you covered. Games and puzzles are available with plenty of room to play them at the large table. A small selection of books are available downstairs where you can turn on the electric fireplace and enjoy some quiet time or walk around the corner and challenge your traveling partners to a game of foosball. For those traveling with small children we can accommodate your toddler (under age 2) in addition to the other guests. We want to make traveling with small children as stress-free as possible. You will find a selection of toys, child friendly dishes, bibs, a highchair, mobile play yard, pack-n-play, and baby blankets supplied. We’ve also installed a baby gate at the top of the stairs on the main floor as well as connectors around the wood burning stove to attach the mobile play yard to so you can still enjoy the wood burning stove without the risk of young children burning themselves. Situated on roughly 3/4 acres of land, there is plenty of room for children to go play outside, including a playhouse with a few toys where kids can explore and be creative. If you’re looking for a cozy place for your family that feels like home away from home with things to do nearby and easy access to Yellowstone Park then Cozy Critter Cabin is the perfect place to make your memories!

For guests visiting between mid October and mid May we strongly recommend 4WD for snow packed roads and the incline of our driveway! Fire pit doubles as an outdoor grill with a grilling rack that swings over the pit. The fire pit is only available JUNE-SEPTEMBER!! Be aware both indoor stairwells are a bit steep and narrow. There are outdoor stairwells to both the front and back decks that both access the main floor of the cabin that are much wider and easier to go up, especially with luggage or coolers. The outdoor stairs are a bit harder to access when the snow accumulates. NO ANIMALS are allowed at the cabin due to severe allergies in our family and we use our cabin regularly.
