From the moment you roll your luggage across the threshold into 1844 Turtle Dunes, the ocean views will take your breath away! The blue of the sky will pale above the alluring colors of the ocean waves. Come kick your feet up on your private balcony facing the Atlantic Ocean, watch the tides coming in and out, and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, manatees, or North Atlantic Right Whales.

1844 Turtle Dunes is perfect for a family vacation or a couple looking to get away! Designed to be practical and beautiful, the oceanfront condo is equipped with everything a modern traveler would need, including high speed WiFi and TVs in the living room and both bedrooms.

With a king bed in the main suite and two twin beds in the second bedroom, there are sleeping accommodations for four. Both full bathrooms are nicely updated and stocked with bath linens.

The kitchen, which overlooks the living area and the amazing ocean views, is fully equipped with appliances, cooking utensils, silverware, glassware, placeware, and so on. Guests can enjoy mealtime at the dining table, which seats four.

Time to take a swim? This property provides access to the beautiful and spacious Sea Turtle shared pool, which is seasonally heated. The property also awards entry to the Dunes Club tennis courts.

In front and behind the Turtle Dunes complex, guests can access the many walking trails in the Amelia Island Plantation (AIP.) These picturesque trails wind through the oceanside and marshside of the gated resort. The AIP community is a beloved 1,340-acre paradise that is surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP.

Golf is also available within the AIP at Oak Marsh and Little Sandy, as well as multiple other great courses on the island. Tee times can be scheduled online.

Nearby, bike and golf carts can be rented to explore the larger community and venture to community playgrounds like Drummond Park and Aury Island.

Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach is a 20-minute drive north on the island and has fantastic dining and shopping options. Driving south on A1A will take you to the Talbot Islands, wonderful nature preserves known for gentle hiking and excellent birding opportunities.

Great Thanksgiving Holiday
The property was exactly as described in the rental ad. Everything was clean and orderly. The view is amazing just high enough to see the ocean clearly. The local restaurants were 5 star, Bar Zin and the Verandah. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen and had everything we needed. A couple of suggestion, invest in some regular size silverware the 70’s onyx handle utensil were a bit off. Also, the cooling heating system worked but the air inside was very humid as if the unit was not working correctly. Finally, with the onset of so must technology the outlets were not sufficient to charge iPads, iPhones, EarPods, and computers. Maybe a couple of multi-chargers on the end tables and night stands. Thanks for sharing your home away from home.

This condo is just as pictured! Top class furnishings and everything you could need in the kitchen! The only downsides is the pool is not heated but with the elevator not working we got quite the workout going up and down 4 flights of stairs!

This was one of our best rental experiences! The communication with the rental company and ease of checking in and out were outstanding. This 2 bedroom condo is the perfect size for a small family. Condo was very clean, cutely decorated, has comfy beds/furniture and has a well stocked kitchen perfect for cooking/eating in. Lots of games, activities for kids, beach toys etc. This was our first time staying in Turtle Dunes and we loved it! It has a great pool area and is beautifully landscaped. The location felt very private yet also convenient to the bike paths and restaurants in the southern part of the Amelia Island. We will definitely be back and would definitely book this condo again!

This is the second time we have stayed at Turtle Dunes and both times have been satisfactory. We have used Vrbo many times and have always been satisfied.The presentation of the condo on the website was accurate. This condo was a little smaller but we had plenty of room. The kitchen was small but we did not do a lot of cooking . Location and view were great. The furniture and beds were comfortable. It was very clean . Thought the price was a little high for the size of the condo and the furnishings. We willl come back to Turtle Dunes

Beautiful condo and very clean. I am not always fond of the beach motif but this is very tastefully done. My husband loved all the "hooks" in the condo and used them to hang his shirts, shorts, bathing suits, etc. on instead of using hangers ! Very nice amenities. Beach chairs and beach towels provided for renters to use. Highly recommend this condo. Would love to rent again when we are back this way. The Parks from Nashville Tn

Cute Beach Condo!
My husband and I had a great relaxing week in Amelia Island. This condominium had everything we needed. Nice amenities, gorgeous view, comfortable bed. The location is the southern end of the island, which puts it close to a state park. We loved that. Absolutely beautiful area!
