The renovation is complete and The Fig Tree is available again for rent! Less than 100 yards from the beach. Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the The Fig Tree is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern Beach style. We have taken great care to keep the character and charm where possible, while modernizing the kitchen, bathrooms, and decor. Perfect for groups!

The house is a charming vacation rental with six bedrooms, each with a private bath. There is a lovely living room and a wonderful "breakfast" porch where you may enjoy meals with your entire group.

Many special occasions have been celebrated at this home. Families and friends can rent the entire house for reunions, vacations or special celebrations. For larger groups and parties, we offer an event space called The Fig Room, caddy corner to this property. We gladly offer discounts if you book both places!

Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash provided. Wrap yourself in lush bath towels and bed linens after a day at the beach or out playing golf. Roku TVs in every bedroom.

Primary access is keyless entry. Door code provided the day of check-in.
Private parking available behind the property. Free public parking available directly in front of the building.

We live in Jacksonville Beach ourselves, so give us a shout if you need anything at all. We generally respond within 30 min between 8am - 9pm.

This is an amazing area of Jacksonville Beach where you will find many restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas within walking distance. The property is less than 100 yards from the beach so that is the best feature. We love having the option of walking to local eats or hitting up established healthy chains. The Neptune Beach Towne Center is less than 10 min drive and with its own set of food, shopping, and nightlife.

Take Uber and Lyft if you don't feel like driving yourself. Most people drive their own vehicles around here, though.

THE ONLY ACCESS TO THE 2ND FLOOR IS VIA THE OUTDOOR STAIRS. There are NO interior stairs to get to the 2nd floor.

Family Labor Day Birthday Getaway
Great home and location. Plenty of space for our group of 12. Love that each room has it's own bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and had a lot of spices already there. Perfect home for our relaxing weekend. The beach was just a short walk down the sidewalk. The host was quick to respond when we had a slight issue. We would definitely return.

Beachside Bliss
Came to Jax Beach from St. Augustine for a family wedding. Having 6 bedrooms (a bathroom in each!) and all that outside and porch space and seating was key. Fantastic. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, and in the rare instance we had any issues, management responded instantly. 10 out 10

Annual Family Gathering
Ten family members stayed at the Fig Tree for 3 days and had a wonderful time! We chose the area because of access to the airport, but also found it to be an enjoyable area to walk around and explore. The Fig Tree VRBO was just what we were looking for - plenty of space to eat and play games together, and a bathroom with each of the 6 bedrooms. The house is well-maintained and had everything we needed, which made cooking large meals so much more enjoyable! We would definitely stay there again!

Fig Tree Inn was a magical surprise. The pictures don't do it justice. To stay in a home that old but was so beautiful was quite the experience. We are already planning to make this an annual trip at this place. Survey asked for 5 stars but I would give it 100 stars. This is a diamond in the rough. We all loved it!!

Family - annual get away
My family had a wonderful stay at the Fig Tree Inn. The house was build in 1915 and had been renovated very nicely. The six bedrooms and six baths was exactly what we need. All the bedrooms had either King or Queen beds. The house was just 2 blocks from the beach and that was perfect. We were not in the traffic and could just walk over. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and visiting. There was a really nice breeze and it was very homey. I would highly recommend this house and my family would be thrilled to stay again!

The Fig Tree Inn is beautiful, comfortable, and SO CLOSE to the beach. The beds are excellent, linens are great quality, it’s beautifully decorated, and very clean. Hosts were very accommodating. 10/10!

Our family went to Jacksonville for a football game and we stayed at Fig Tree Property and it was perfect for the 10 of us that stayed. The house had plenty of room and was very clean and extremely well kept.

Girls Weekend Getaway!
My group of 6 traveled to JAX beach for a girls trip and Fig Tree was perfect for our stay! The property was very clean and there were plenty of towels, beach towels and kitchen necessities available on site. The host was very responsive and accommodating. This is a spacious property that met all of our needs. Would definitely book again!

Perfect Beach House in Jax Beach
The owners here are absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The house is perfect for family gatherings. We surprised our grandma for her 85th birthday and made amazing memories over a weekend trip. The beach is just a block away too. Highly recommend. Thank you all for a great weekend.

Deferred maintenance really showed, and not in a good way.
The unit was just what we were looking for to celebrate my wife's 70 birthday with her five siblings and her mother. The historic place with uneven floors, crooked doors, wood floors and beaded board walls and ceilings, which is what I was looking for. Plus, the place was clean. That said the 6-bedroom unit is really in need on some way over-do maintenance. We were locked out of the upstairs four bedrooms for several hours after we arrived and felt like we had to leave the upstairs unlocked whenever we left the property. The property maintenance man finally came by the next day. There were missing lamp shades, my brother-in-law was locked in his room, when the doorknob fell off into the hallway. Only a couple of the 10 or 12 solar lights worked on the outside stairs to the second floor making it extremely dark after the sun went down. The limited and delayed communication with the owner it seemed each of the issues were not his fault. This is certainly not what you expect at the price we paid.

Wedding house
Perfect place for family and friends! 6 bedrooms and 6 baths. Kitchen was equipped with everything including spices! Great eating spaces ! My family and friends said it couldn’t have been any bettter! I can’t wait to go back on vacation with family. The outside entry to the upstairs was actually a great thing because it caused less confusion in the kitchen! The hosts are great and respond to any requests immediately!
