Oceanfront Apartment in Quiet Neighborhood
Property was clean and well stocked with needed beach, cooking and laundry supplies. Paul and Kay were gracious hosts and their normal routines on the second floor did not detract from our relaxing below in the apartment. Beach/bay access a very short walk on prepared trail. Rarely saw others on the beach; great snorkeling with at least a dozen types of fish. Swimming pool was very clean and available during daylight hours. Will return in the future.

Perfect location
This was our first trip to the Big Island and it didn't disappoint. Decided to stay somewhere on the Kona side and found this cute suite/apartment on VRBO. The place had all of the amenities we look for. Grill and laundry. The bonus was the pool and hot tub which we didn't use. Added bonus when we got here was the place was well stock with basics for the kitchen and gear for the beach. Place was clean, comfortable and quiet. Beach access was a few hundred feet away, but beach was a little rocky so getting out would probably have been a bit challenging, but about a quarter mile away was an easier entrance into Keahu Bay. Location was perfect, about 5 minutes to Kahalu'u Beach, where snorkeling was awesome and maybe 10-15 minutes to access trail or kayaking to Captain Cook's monument where the snorkeling was even more amazing. View from the patio was another bonus. Breakfast and dinner on the patio with the view was great! Easy checkin and owners were very responsive. We will hopefully be back.

Beautiful Escape
We had a wonderful time here at Paul and Kay's home. The view, the pool, and the quiet neighborhood were all much appreciated and enjoyed. Great location! You have everything you need (although a stove would have been nice) to make your meals. The electric skillet worked great for morning eggs and when not eating out, we used the outdoor grill for steaks and chicken. We even became friends with the renter's next door and went out with them to a show in Kona! While here, do not miss the Nighttime Manta Ray Snorkel! We booked with Sea Quest which is just a few minutes from the home. It was unbelievable! Actually, when you are not out in the water with them, you can see the boats in the water from the rental. We were sorry to leave.

Quiet getaway!
All perfect except the 2nd neighbors we had. They complained about our talking ....at 6:00pm before dark???? Also complained when listening to a short music video on my phone...5pm. Other than that, we'll be back. Paul is great .

Clicked all the boxes
This apartment clicked all the boxes for us. It was quiet and private with large pool and hot tub. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the birds, flowers, sunshine and perfect view of the bay. Small kitchen and large outdoor grill made it easy to cook most of our meals and enjoy eating alone on the patio. Comfortable bed and clean, modern bathroom for a relaxing stay. Location was perfect for visiting beaches, snorkel locations, cultural sites, and restaurants and markets. We would recommend and would visit again when traveling to Hawaii's Big island.

Paradise 🌴
We enjoyed watching surfers, kayakers, whale spouts, SUP, boats, crashing waves, and sunsets from our chaise lounges on the grass overlooking the bay. What a view! Quiet, residential neighborhood, yet close to a shopping center with grocery store, restaurants, etc. The unit was well-equipped — laundry room including detergent are a welcome feature. 10/10 would recommend!

Peaceful and relaxing
Very quiet and convenient spot. It was an easy base to go exploring (with our rental vehicle) as well as a lovely spot to relax. There was lots of good snorkelling spots within a half hour drive. Paul was extremely helpful but also gave us our privacy. No other guests were there so we had the pool to ourselves. The kitchenette was perfect as we had already been travelling for a week so had had enough of eating out for all our meals. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a quiet private place to base out of. It was exactly what we needed before heading back home.

This property is in the perfect location to access all of the fun things to do in Kona. We loved swimming in the pool and just relaxing outside in the warm Kona temps. The mattress was just right. Paul has thought of everything to make your stay great!

Great place
We had not been to the Big Island in years.Trying to figure out where to stay was a bit overwhelming. Thinking about location, we were very happy with the convenience of this place. The pictures of the residence were accurate and we enjoyes hearing and seeing the ocean from the bedroom. Paul and Kay were very responsive and even though we did not spend a lot of time in the rental, we appreciated both the welcome and the saying our goodbyes to this very lovely couple.

The perfect location
Everything about our recent stay was truly top-notch. We loved the suite, which was nicely sized for 2 adults and quite comfortable and quiet. The truly terrific part starts outside, of course, where there are several places to sit or lounge and enjoy the view and sounds of Heeia Bay, the incredible scenery and the lovely birds swooping and calling across the sky. We cooked on the grill and ate outside there often, as the excellent KTA market is just up the road a bit. We had the fortune of being there during a period of very calm water in the bay, and we snorkeled there most mornings before heading out to other activities, and sometimes again when we got home. There are lots of fish, and if you swim out to the left of the bay you'll eventually hit a coral ledge with lots to look at. We also walked over to the Outrigger hotel to watch the manta rays from their viewing platform, or over to the golf course where lots of people sit on the rocks to view great sunsets. Keauhou is lower-key than Kona proper, which we loved, and the quicker access to Captain Cook and Two Step is great. Paul is a terrific host who cares for his guests so kindly - always willing to go the extra mile while also giving you plenty of space to enjoy the property. We can't wait to be back!

Island Paradise
I had the MOST amazing time at this property; it was so much better than the large resorts I typically visit! The backyard was the real gem - adorable fish-shaped pool surrounded by lush, mature foliage overlooking a beautiful small bay where the Manta Ray boats would head at night. My suite (there are two adjacent suites on the property) was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything I needed for my four-night stay, including beach chairs and lots of beach towels. There was an AC unit and a fan in the each of the adjoined (but separable) bedroom and living room, but the weather was so beautiful with the breezes that I left my doors open and only used the fans. On top of that, the hosts were lovely! The property is close to Ali'i Drive and the Keauhou Shopping Center. Don't miss Peaberry and Galette, an AMAZING coffeehouse that serves incredible crepes. I'll definitely be back!

Perfect Big Island vacation rental
We stayed at this amazing home for the second time (first time in 2017) and it was the perfect decision to return. This rental is an unbeatable location for privacy, ocean views and sounds, a spacious pool, and a great starting point for exploring the island. All amenities are provided, the property owner accommodating and easy to work with. When we return, we will definitely choose to stay here.
