This resort exceeded any expectations we had prior to arrival. I booked it because of the pictures with the tiki torches and the views of the mountains as I wanted an authentic Hawaiian feel to the place we decided to stay. I was searching for good vibes. This was the best place we could have found and we will be back with our entire family! The service was wonderful, everyone we met was kind and happy. We especially loved the yoga instructor in the mornings. The coffee and banana bread every morning became a highlight. It was so delicious and they offered the “good kinds” of coffee creamers. The view from the lobby couldn’t be beat as we sipped our coffee in paradise. The location was off the beaten path but close to anything we wanted to do. This part of the island was fantastic and our favorite part! The room was everything we needed, the beds very comfortable, and there is a kitchenette and a balcony. It was a bit dated and we did see some bugs, as to be expected in that area, I’m sure. We attended the snorkeling excursion and got to swim with a sea turtle and see many fish and an eel. It was amazing. Overall, this was our favorite place to be on the island and I’m so glad we found this resort and chose to stay there! Parking was easy and was free since we were VIP members on Expedia!

I wanted to love this property, but things fell short of expectations. Pros: amazing well maintained grounds. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, access to kayaks. Lovely live Hawaiian music in the afternoon, in the nice lobby. Cons: Room stayed in did not look like the room booked on line, at all. Rooms wall was the parking lot, Room was not thoroughly cleaned from the last guest. Amenities which were advertised had to be signed up for, such as stand up paddle board, yoga, kayaks, where already taken before check in. Only to find out yoga wasn’t being held, and the kayaks ended up sitting out all day with no one using them at their allotted times. Very frustrating paying a resort fee. Though the staff was able to secure a time, had we known to secure ahead of time we would have. But their website says nothing about that.

This place was secluded in a small neighborhood. Away from the hubbub of Waikiki and Honolulu. The view was wonderful and the staff very friendly. Accommodations are not fancy, but it was a great homebase for me and my daughter for various outings around the island.

We stayed for two nights. On the first night, the people above our room were extremely loud and annoying. I don’t know why, but there seemed to be so many people in their room, even though we were required to sign an agreement stating that only registered guests were allowed to stay. We couldn’t sleep for most of the night. We called security, and I believe they spoke to them, but the noise continued until 4 a.m. The security team apologized and said they would offer us something complimentary as compensation. But they didn't give us anything. The next day, we requested a room change, and they gave us another room. While the new room seemed fine at first, there were so many flies coming into the room even though we had all the windows closed. I ended up killing approximately 30 of them. When we wanted to make coffee, we opened the K-cup coffee machine only to find used K-cups still inside. This made us decide not to use the coffee machine. We also noticed that the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the location is very nice, with mountains, a river, and the ocean nearby. There is also a nice pool.

We had 2 rooms, the 19 has a view of the water and 41 had a view of one of the decks. The balconies have sofas and table and chairs. We spent a lot of time there! Kayak is a must, yoga was nice and I wish we would have been informed better about other activities :-) This is a very small resort, the staff is amazing but the crew is small, be patient. We will be back if we come back to Hawaii ;-)

Wonderful find on the windward side of Oahu. The views are stunning! Our view from our waterfront cottage lanai was gorgeous every morning. I most definitely recommend staying here instead of the craziness of Waikīkī.

We stayed for 4 nights for our wedding with friends, and it was a wonderful experience. The setting was quite different from a beach resort, offering a beautiful jungle rainforest atmosphere. Our room (#35) had a great view and a nice kitchenette. We rented a car, but for our friends who didn’t, it was a bit challenging since there are no nearby restaurants or shops (Safeway is about a 10-minute drive away). We found Uber to be more reliable than Lyft for getting around. The staff were very kind and friendly.

We shared our room with cockroaches, ants, and a mouse. Unfortunately, our bayview room's deck provided no privacy. The furniture is uncomfortably and A/C unit old and very noisy. We were unable to just open the windows & deck doors because of missing screens to keep insects out. Another interesting experience, is the resort was using universal remotes for ceiling lighting and fans....this resulted in our room's lighting and fan being controlled by guests in other units. Overall interactions with staff was excellent to the worse, it all depending on who you interacted with. We spent 12 nights and will never stay again.

Location and kayaking cannot get better
The location is amazing. We were so surprised to go down to the floating docks and sit and listen to the various birds singing in the trees. Take advantage of the kayaks and recommend going out 9am when the water is very calm. Go towards Chinaman Hat and there is so much coral as the water is not deep. We could see so clearly the fish and even saw a few turtles popping their heads up. The resort is quaint and quiet. Though the roosters do like to wake you as early as 4:30am you can hear them but quickly you can ignore them. It was great location to head up to the north shore and down to Waikiki and Kailua. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for what we needed.

It started off rocky with a couple mix ups on our reservation but the staff was great and made it all worthwhile. The boat to the sandbar was really fun. The parking situation needs to be worked on. Walking up and down stairs was really exhausting. All in all we’d stay again.

Cool property that was well located for the things we wanted to do on the windward side. Convenient to shopping and restaurants, but with a great tropical feel. Staff very accommodating and access to the kayaks to fish the bay was a great plus.
