Family vacation in Kennebunk
This Kennebunk home was the perfect location for our family summer vacation. It is very large and accommodates a big group easily. Great potential, but serious shortcomings
With great size and good location with easy walk/ bike ride to Mother’s Beach, this house should be a winner. Excellent, well-equipped kitchen with huge kitchen table supports a large crew very easily. Main drawback is the run-down nature of the property. The house has a beautiful wraparound porch which should be the social focal point. Unfortunately, the porch is covered with old, dirty carpets and equally dilapidated furniture pieces with flaking paint that stuck to our grandchildren’s hands. Impossible to enjoy that beautiful space which has been allowed to deteriorate unnecessarily. Shower head in the master bath was broken; the garage was a messy repository of castaway toys and furniture; the grill was dilapidated and filthy. With a little attention, this property could and should be an excellent vacation home for a large family/group.

Perfect House!
Our family ranged from 1 yr to 71 yrs with 11 adults and children under 8. The house could not have been more perfect and met all of our needs for sleeping, eating, and playing. The amenities were better than described and the house was beautiful, comfortable and also, very well stocked with supplies. The second kitchen was large and well-planned and essential to accommodate everyone’s needs and space. The entertainment area over the garage was great and kept nighttime activity away from those sleeping. The house was huge with many porches and rooms to read, hide or socialize, however the best part was it’s fabulous location to the beach-we walked and biked to Mother’s Beach which was above and beyond perfect for our crew. The location couldn’t have been better for beaches and shopping- close enough to enjoy, while private enough to relax. Thank you for an amazing week!

Such a beautiful home. Three families - Grandparents, kids, and 4 grandkids always go away over New Years break to use this time to open gifts. This was one of our favorite homes! The layout was perfect with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Common areas were spacious enough for all of us to hang out. I loved the prep kitchen which we were able to store all of our things which kept the main kitchen tidy.This home was very well equipped from kitchen supplies, games, toys, etc. A great location right down the road from Mother's Beach. Can't wait to go back!

Annual Family Christmas Tree Gathering
The property was beyond expectations. I have found in the past, pictures look better than the actual premises. Not so with this property. It was amazing. The setup is superb. Do much room for so many. We have a large family so we need space. We also have many “chefs,” whom live to cook and provide exceptional meals for all. This property not only provided this, it provided areas we could all choose to be social or choose seclusion depending on mood and time of day. We enjoyed learning the history of the family and Dr. Joseph Grady who is responsible for this extremely delightful property. It assists in understanding the design, which supports family gatherings and social encounters. I’m hopeful to be able to stay here again and again as it fits our annual family gatherings. We would love to own this property, though for now being a guest is a privilege. Thank you for its capabilities and providing another year of unforgettable family memories!

Wish we could go back soon!
There were anywhere from 5-12 of us at any one time staying at this wonderful home on a family vacation that had originally been set up for 2020 and was postponed twice due to you know what. The house and locale are terrific—just enough removed from the tourism of K’bunkport yet close enough to be there in 10 minutes. The house provides enough spaces to go to when solitude is needed, yet plenty of group space, too. The special “home office” space upstairs allowed our son and daughter-in-law to work from home when needed, and the second kitchen made keeping the main kitchen area tidy easy. And the wrap-around porch was a highlight that got MUCH use. Wonderful place for group gatherings!

The PERFECT house for our group!
8 couples, gathering for the weekend, after not seeing each other for 3 years. This house was fantastic...we had plenty of room to socialize, refrigerate and cook all our meals (it having 2 refrigerators, was KEY!), and play "lawn games" in the large driveway. The separate pool room above the garage was great and the large communal table was amazing for games and meals! The house was super clean, very well equipped and would highly recommend it to all large families/groups! We hope to be back next year, and also rent the additional space behind the house, giving 2 more bedrooms!

Great home and location!
We had a family of 10 adults plus 3 grandkids. It was a wonderful home to stay in. Spacious rooms, great property, great porch. There's a separate play room/activity room over the garage. The family loved it! The house has a 2nd kitchen which was very useful. Lots of living space. The open floor plan between kitchen and dining was terrific. The proximity to the beach was convenient. two main bedrooms don't have a/c at this time. hoping owner will add that because the rest of the house was cool and perfect! we will go back. The property manager was also very helpful! loved it there!

Family Vacation Week
This would have been an excellent house with plenty of room for our whole family. Unfortunately, because of the Covid-19 issues there were just 8 or us versus 13 that we had planned. Still we had a great week in Kennebunk. It's a great area with beautiful beaches and lots of other activities nearby. 219 Sea house is huge, well furnished and totally equipped with everything you could need for an incredible vacation. My family and I met up at this house to celebrate the holidays. The house had everything we needed and there was enough space for all of us. Overall, great vacation home. The double kitchen is amazing and so helpful with large groups. Closest to a Gourmet kitchen that I have found despite every property owner’s description. Plenty of room and bathrooms for all. For me, there are 2 shortcomings. House is advertised as having A/C but that doesn’t include the Master suite, the common room, kitchen and a couple other bedrooms. This is just a summertime problem. Also affecting my families comfort, several beds were very uncomfortable. My suggestion is to invest in some mattress toppers in the short term. Assessing the actual mattresses and consideration of replacement could be addressed more deliberately over the next few seasons. With all that said, I would recommend this property and stay here again in a heart beat!
