Their were flies in my room, probaly bc the didnt seal around the edges of the air conditioner and bugs were getting in. We slept close downstairs and it was noisy with people talking around 7am. Shower area looked dirty to me.

Key West
We chose this hotel for its proximity to downtown Key West. Location was a short walk to Duval Street and complimentary street parking was available. Check in is only available from 3-5pm. After this time no one is on site. We stayed in a second floor room. The first thing I noticed was the dirty carpets on the stairs. Our room had an odd set up, as the sink was in the main bedroom area not the bathroom. Sheets were very pilled and old. Bathroom towels were small and shed all over myself and my husband. We were picking white fuzz from the towels off ourselves all day. The hotel is no where near what one would classify as a resort yet a $25 resort fee was charged. I am not sure what exactly this covered? The frozen bagels and stale granola offered for breakfast? Employee who checked us in was friendly enough but I would not stay here again. I’ve stayed at small boutique hotels around the world and unfortunately this one wasn’t up to pare. We booked fairly last minute and this was one of the only spots with availability in the area we wanted to stay.

We arrived after hours but Roman left us easy directions for check in and parking. Very nice location close to the marina and several restaurants off of the Main Street. Would definitely go back!

I really enjoyed staying at this property. The staff was very friendly. It was a 15 minute walk to Duval street. You could rent bikes on the premises. It was 15.00 per 24hour period. They offer a light breakfast which is part of the 25.00 resort fee. We were in room 3 on the first floor. The rooms need a little remodeling(especially the bathroom by the baseboards)--nothing too major. I would stay here again!!!

The location is excellent for those visiting Ft Jefferson. Duval St and shopping a few blocks over. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Roman manned the desk during our stay and couldn't have been a better concierge.

I thought we were staying at the Heron House not the Heron House Court. So I think we were switched over somehow not knowing. The room was small no luggage racks to put your luggage on. The wardrobe they had the doors would not close because the one door was loose from the hinge. One night we had no hot water to shower so my husband called the emergency maintenance number and they did come right away and fixed it. When we flushed the commode it would not refill, took the tank lid off and jiggled the float so it would fill. We had to go up a flight of steps. There were lights there to light the steps but none of them worked. The third day I asked if we were getting clean towels to shower. I was told they come in every day, we had not seen any housekeeping till I asked. The host was wonderful, the breakfast was nice, and it was clean and didn't see any bugs at all. We will not stay at the Heron House Court again.

The only thing I didn’t like is that they charge you $25 resort fee after you get there they put it on your credit card and then they charge you four dollars to process it so altogether it’s $29

The building is very dated. Rooms have no coffeemaker and there is no parking. Had to park 3 blocks away. The gentleman working the desk (Roman) was very nice but there is no staff at night to address any issues. The price is much too high for what you get.

Always a Great Stay
A return teip to HHC for a 15 year wedding vow renewal after getting married around the pool in 2009. Roman was, and still is the very best innkeeper, always a smile, and remembers everyone by name. He is the most gracious host, and the property is lucky to have him. Housekeeping kept the room clean, and although the a/c units looked a big aged, our room was nice and chilly at night, just the way we like it. Pool was the perfect temperature, and Key West was less crowded this time of year.
