Welcome to the sunny haven of Pine Cone Cottage, your perfect family getaway nestled in the heart of Kings Beach. This adorable two-story cabin exudes charm and warmth, offering a cozy retreat for you and your loved ones to enjoy.

The inviting home features all the Tahoe musts - gas fireplace in living room with a 55 inch smart TV, large front deck, walking distance to Lake Tahoe with a large beach, close to trails, and 15 minutes to NorthStar at Tahoe.

This cozy cabin is centrally located in Kings Beach where vacation begins. The cabin is walking distance to Lake Tahoe, great trails less than ½ mile from the home for hiking and mountain biking, and downtown Kings Beach is 5 blocks away. Downtown Kings Beach has several restaurants, shopping, a large public beach, and mini golf in the summer!

The main floor has an open floor plan with a gas fireplace to warm up beside. Pine cone Cottage has cozy furnishings and decorations throughout. The kitchen is always well equipped for your stay. There is enough seating in the dining room to easily accommodate 8 for family meals, and with the supermarket less than 1 mile away, you can stock up on your way in for you may never want to leave! The south facing deck will be a pure joy with a morning cup of coffee or good book. In the summer, you can relax on the hammock in the backyard.

Eight people (two families or a group of friends) will have lots of space to enjoy a vacation in this home. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms: a queen bedroom and a bedroom with a bunk bed and additional twin. The main level also has 2 bathrooms with showers and laundry room. Upstairs you will find a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms with king beds in each,

Location:
Kings Beach offers a wide variety of activities for the whole group. Downtown Kings Beach has restaurants, shopping, and groceries. The very popular and large Kings Beach State Recreation Area has options for kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, parasailing, and more. In the winter months, NorthStar, Mt. Rose, Diamond Peak are all within close distance. Please visit our website and follow our “Tahoe Guide” with updated things to do in your specific area.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars total. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!

Great house for groups!
Spent a weekend at the house with a group of friends and it was perfect. All 7 of us were able to comfortably fit, and the 3 bathrooms are great to have. It was cold when we first arrived but after finding all the thermostats (there are a handful for each part of the house) the place was perfect. Driveway is nice for multiple cars and the living room is big enough for a group.

The cabin is in an excellent location. But —-
The cabin is in an excellent location. But —- Be careful if you are thinking of staying here, the bathroom doors do not work. The door to the second floor bathroom does not close. I notified the company but they never sent for it to be fixed. There are rats in this house and it is very dirty, there is too much dust, and the windows cannot be opened. All the windows are blocked and there is no air conditioning. But anyway, the house is in an excellent area and very quiet. I was here for 8 days.

Pay attention to the word “cozy.” Cabin is smaller than one may think. Pocket door to upstairs bathroom is old, damaged and no longer closes all the way. King size beds only have body pillows, so bring your own if you want a standard size pillow. Mouse droppings found in a stored saucepan. Yet, it’s all in what you make of it, so we still had a fun family weekend.

Great cabin near Lake Tahoe. We went to Mount Rose which was less than an hour away. There was sufficient rooms and parking for all of us. Place was clean and beautiful.

Great stay at Pine Cone Cottage
We had a wonderful time at the Pine Cone Cottage. It was a rustic cottage, as described in the website, but that was appealing to us more than a modern home would have been. It had everything we needed for our stay. We had two families, one with very young children, so it worked well to have 2 of 4 the bedrooms at opposite parts of the house. The house location was great, as it was walking distance to the beach, a playground, and restaurants... The only thing I can think of as a negative was that the wifi signal in the bedrooms off of the kitchen was pretty weak so it was hard to use wifi in those bedrooms. But stepping out side those rooms was all it took to get a good signal, so it wasn't a big problem.

Could use a deep clean
The house was great in that the kitchen well was stocked, the fireplace was very warming, the appliances were in good working order and the beds were comfortable. I did not find certain rooms to be very clean. In particular, the upstairs bathroom had a moldy smell. Lots of dust on the coffee table and walls. Also, please fix the drip in upstairs bathtub faucet. Not cool to see water being wasted during a drought.

Pretty good!
This was a good setup for two families. Two rooms upstairs and two rooms downstairs. The queen bedroom downstairs had a squeaky bed, but it was comfortable. The kitchen was good size, and had what we needed to cook. The dining room table was a bit small for all of us, but we made it work. We reached out to let the prop mgrs at the end of the trip to let them know about a couple of items that didn’t work or needed fixing, but nothing big. Loved the location and the fireplace/gas stove for the cold weekend. Upstairs beds were comfortable.

lovely for two families
this cabin was perfect for our combined family ski trip. We had 6 kids aged 1-14 with two separate families. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and as described. The living room was quite cozy with the gas fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook the food we needed to. Easy to find and close to town. Would rent again.

Great Location, Very Affordable
The property was as advertised, but could use a few tweaks. The front door lock and door jamb were a little concerning. The door latch became wedged and locked in the jamb and had to call the emergency number provided for assistance. The jamb needs to be replaced due to wood rot, however we felt secure with the dead bolt operating properly. The third bath shower has very little water pressure and was basically useless. The interior is somewhat dated, but very clean... and the gas fireplace/stove was a big plus. I would definitely stay again.
