HOTEL NIGHTMARE
Upon arrival there was no record of our "PREPAID" accomodation booking through expedia.com with the hotel receptionist, who was a trainee and totally unresponsive to our demise. We asked to speak to the Manager, and he told us that was not possible. We waited for 1 1/2 hours in the lobby while he spoke to whomever on the phone and insisted there was no booking for us. We asked to speak to whomever it was that he was speaking to, only to be told we couldn't.
Our booking was for 4 nights. Eventually we were "permitted" to go to a room as we said we would speak to the manager the following morning. This however was not possible until we paid the receptionist a further IDR500,000 as room deposit, despite the room having been "PREPAID" in full. We requested a receipt for the room deposit and were advised we could not have one
Upon walking to the room we noticed the poll was blacker than swampwater. The bellboy told us the pump had just broken and the repair guy was coming early the next morning.
The room was dirty, no facilities, coffe, tea, soap, towels, bathroom mat etc all of which we had to ask for. Half the light globes in the room were blown, 2 of the main electric switches were broken and inoperable. Cockroaches in the bathtub, and a rat outside the balcony front door.
The rest of the initial afternoon was spent, emailing expedia.com and the manager.
We checked out the following morning. We still have no positive responseses. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
