The room was beautiful and the location near a subway station was helpful. The hotel staff did not clean the room, but that was fine with us. Extra towels and supplies were readily available. A few of the staff members knew very little English and so we used a translation app to communicate. Highly recommended.

Late check in was very easy through a lock box system. You just have to request this service ahead of time as the front desk staff leaves at 8pm. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very safe location and quite walkable to most places. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during the entire trip! The gentleman at the front desk was the kindest and most helpful gentleman. He helped me so much! Everything about the hotel was awesome! Our room was big and super clean! We had everything we needed in the room and there are other amenities outside the room and in the lobby. The location was perfect, away from the business of the main streets but close enough to walk to everything. We loved staying here and wished our other hotels were this nice! I definitely will book here again when I return to Kyoto in the future!

Liked that access to additional amenities are outside of the rooms. Rooms are cleaned every four days which is good for the environment. Good clean understated hotel. Perfect for a stay where most of your time is spent outdoors.

We liked that it was quiet, great amenities, room was small but had everything we needed. Staff was unobtrusive and easy. The only thing we didn't like is that it is not very close to any attractions, but it was easy to catch a taxi to get where we wanted to go.

Definitely one of the best business/ budget style hotels. !!!!! Take care of your personal items. If you forget anything in your room after you check out, don’t expect to get it back. Speaking from experience.

The hotel was stylish and easy to use. The staff treated us very politely, and I had a good time being told which restaurant to recommend for dinner. However, it was a little disappointing that several long hair were attached to the carefully folded bath towel. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about:)

Quiet area and amazing little boutique hotel. Biggest room we have had in japan and a comfy large bed with super soft bedding. All staff spoke English and were very friendly but more so a lot more helpful than any other hotel we have stayed at also. The room also featured mood lighting, beautiful Japanese sliding paper style widows, soft toilet paper which we haven’t seen in japan and a MASSIVE array of toiletries and accessories in the bathroom. Things like hair tonics for men, and all kinds of accessories. There was a long table with 2 seats to sit, eat, read whatever and plenty of floor space to open multiple cases which was a dream. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone nice added touch was a soft and hard pillow each. What a difference this made to our jetlagged sleep.
