Amazing location, but outdated room
Well starting from the pro, the location is just amazing, mere seconds away from the JR Kyoto station. Also the service was excellent and was eligible for an upgrade of the room. The room was quite spacious. Now the con side is that room is quite outdated and looked quite worn down. Compared to other Kyoto hotels that I have stayed in the past, the building and the room seemed quite old.

Well located, spacious room - a definite recommend
Easy walk from the train station. The room was clean and quite large. Lots of space for your suitcases. The "bar" section isn't open after 6pm, so you have to go into the A'la Carte restaurant for drinks - it was never busy and the staff where happy to let us sit there and order only drinks. I'd definitely stay here again.

This hotel is next to Kyoto station. It’s very convenient for travelers. There are many shopping stores in the station. Also, there are 3 different style of breakfast for customers to choose and the price is reasonable.

Mikayo Hotel in Kyoto is a fantastic choice for travelers! Its location right across the street from Kyoto Station makes it incredibly convenient for getting around, and it's next door to a mall with a wide variety of shops and food options. The rooms are a good size, offering comfort after a day of exploring. It's the perfect base for sightseeing, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The hotel gave me a free upgrade to a nice bigger room with good facilities. It was spacious with nice resting and working corner. I really like the environmental nature and giving guests the space to decide if the room needs cleaning, just empty bins n change towel or not to be disturbed.

The hotel is just across the street from the Kyoto train station. The station itself is filled with restaurants and shops. There's a large shopping mall and several large stores along the street that runs in front of the hotel and train station. Also several convenience stores including 7-11 and Family Mart.
