enjoyed the interaction of guest house culture, its quite surprised to charge all amenities. The location was excellent which was only 3 - 4 mins to JR kyoto station. Cleanliness was good.
The only thing need to improve is- the full english name from expedia was different/ unclear from the name plated signal at the entrance, it took me another 10 mins to figure out the hotel location. Anyways its a good experience to stay at guest house in kyoto
The guest house seemed very traditional and I really wanted that experience. The bed was not as comfortable as most hotels, but I was able to sleep fine. It was very clean and nice. I would recommend staying here!
The place was very nice and actually pretty new according to the owner. The owner was also a very nice guy. The room I stayed in and all the facilities were very clean and nice. The location was also super convenient being so close to Kyoto station. Definitely would recommend to anyone going to Kyoto.
Probably my favorite stay throughout my 10 days stay. This place is very homely and has a really nice japanese feel to it. I would call it a modern Ryokan? The decorations are very traditional, and the whole place has a lovely natural wood scent.
The host is a very easy going person, and the check in process is also extremely easy going.
Would have wanted to stay an extra night if they had availability :(
This place is just a block away form the subway and JR station. Transportations and dining places are all around. Clean rooms and comfy beds. The owner Tanaka is super friendly.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Like a shared air bnb
This place is pretty chill. The owner isn't around except for when you check in, or if you need him. There is a phone by entrance to call him. He let us store our bags before and after checking out. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The room had an air conditioner that worked really well, however we were ina shared dorm and another guest turned it off and I found it to be too hot while I slept . 1 shower for the entire hostel, but we didn't have to wait. Overall very pleasant stay.
Took a while for my shuttle svc to figure out the entrance is hidden in the small lane. But facing directly to kyoto station within 5min walk. Lots of shops and eateries around the neighnourhood and station malls. Thehouse is typucaly of traditional style with steep stairwell. So big luggage is a chore to get around. The washing area is locates in an airwell so during the colder months.
Very nice guesthouse, Japanese style room with comfortable futons. Just one shared shower and two toilets for the whole thing, maybe not enough when everything is booked. Very good location but the guesthouse itself is in a back alley and it takes a few tries and a bit of patience to find.
