Your 3 bedroom 2 bath casa with parking is located just two houses (a 30 second walk to the west) from the sand at the world famous La Jolla Windansea Beach.

Savor the salty air and see incredible sunsets, including an occasional Green Flash when the horizon is a clear crisp line. Land's end here, where the Pacific kisses the California coast is hard to top.

Built in 1926 (and tastefully remodeled in 2012), your vacation awaits.

We have many beach toys for you, surf/body boards, beach chairs, a BBQ, old-fashioned floor heaters (the best!), air-conditioners, and a new laundry. We have a pack 'n play, toys, and high chair/booster seat combination.

Relax in the private patio or spend the evening in the cozy living room with tall coved ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace.

We also provide an office/den for the business traveler. (Or enjoy a peaceful breakfast there.)

We drove from AZ to meet NY sisters who flew in to CA for the first time! Showed them all over San Diego, LaJolla location was perfect - in between downtown and then north beaches up to Carlsbad. I have NEVER stayed at a VRBO with such a responsive host like Paula!! Returned emails - all my questions - so quickly. The neighborhood is beautiful ... really enjoyed watching the surfers.

Charming vintage seaside home
Perfect Windansea beach locale, wonderful strolling—and running, people watching, sunsets every night. The residential neighborhood quiet, one-of-a-kind 1920s cottages, architecture. Well-stocked kitchen, best VRBO kitchen we’ve experienced, appreciate. Bring warm pjs & socks for chilly evenings. Good heating from vented heaters, though an intermittent clang. Very close to grocery & two very different taco shops, repeat visits to Promiscuous Fork. TV not hooked up to WiFi, so bring your Netflix code (we didn’t). Responsive host, replaced failed coffeemaker right away, thanks. We enjoyed our stay.

La Jolla Trip Christmas 2024
My wife, our younger son (22) and I stayed at this lovely house for 4 days while visiting my older son, who now lives in San Diego. The location of this house is perfect. The house is located less than a 2 minute walk to the beach & a 5-7 minute walk to restaurants & shopping. 10 minute drive to downtown La Jolla and easy access to the highway to San Diego. Everything was as advertised. House had everything we needed. We were able to park on the street each night although there is a garage and driveway in the back that is easily accessible. Paula was very helpful and professional. We will stay here again next time we visit our son.

We loved the proximity to the beach... this beach was a little hidden gem that was so nice. The home had so many amenities. Lots of towels, dishes, and even surf boards and boogie boards for lots of play! Our host was great with communication and we loved everything about it.

The house was perfect and very close to the beach. The beach toys made things easy. There was plenty of space and we liked the classic details in the house. As for location, there was a morning cafe and bagel place up the block and other reataurants nearby. Plus pleny of other things to do in La Jolla. Paula was a very attentive host.

Cozy and great location
We are four adults in town for a wedding. This property's location, about a half block from a beautiful beach was great. Not crowded (although street parking got tough when the waves were up!). We appreciated having two parking spots in back and very clear directions about how to find them. The house was roomy, well appointed, and the hosts were good communicators--letting us know when the house was ready a bit early and checking in via VRBO to make sure things were right. Just a great place to relax! There were three bedrooms and air conditioning circulation was a bit indirect in two of them, and the guests in one room did not find simply opening the windows sufficiently cool. A couple of additional fans to redirect air would have been helpful. But that was a minor issue. All in all, a wonderful place that I would stay again.

Quintessential beach cottage on a gorgeous block
This beach cottage was a great place to stay in La Jolla. Beach at the end of the block is amazing, and the cottage had a lot of great beach supplies, which was very helpful. The host is very thoughtful, and the house was comfy. It was the perfect place for our stay.

Perfection at the Beach!
We had the best time at this beautiful, perfectly-appointed, super clean, extremely comfortable, spacious, thoughtfully stocked (think beach chairs and beach towels, spices to cook with, sugar for your morning coffee!), ideally located La Jolla residence! It truly is steps from Windandsea Beach (we sad the most beautiful early May afternoon lounging on the wide rocks watching the surfers and getting sun). The sea lions were so fun to go see, and it’s a short ride to Mission and Pacific Beaches, downtown San Diego and Coronado Island, which we also spent time at over our long weekend and enjoyed immensely. We had dinner the first night at Verdes El Rancho upon Paula’s recommendation and we couldn’t have had a better time. We also enjoyed the coffee shop, Rosamond’s, up the street for a yummy peanut butter and chocolate nib and banana toastie and specialty coffee in the morning. The Valley Store up the road (we walked) was perfect for our last night when we wanted to stay in and cook- we got some delicious store made chips and salsa, fresh poke and salad and enjoyed sitting outside on the picnic table in the back of our residence. Everyone is so friendly in the area and it was nice just walking and chatting with neighbors. We have already booked our second stay for the fall as our daughter is sold on going to USD now! Thank you, Paula!
