It's an easy, pleasant walk to dining, shopping & the beach in La Jolla Shores. The space had plenty of amenities for our family of four with two teens, including comfortable beds and some handy beach gear (towels, chairs, wagon, football...).
A few notes on minor issues: It's a duplex, and the wall between units is a little thin, so we could occasionally hear the neighbors. That said, the bedrooms are separated from the shared wall by the hallway and bathroom, so noise wasn't a problem at bedtime. We had some trouble getting the shower to start--the faucet wasn't pulling out--and the neighbors had parked on the wrong side of garage when we arrived, but on both matters, the owner was very responsive and helpful in replies (and we eventually got the shower working with no problems... probably user error!) The TV could use an update (no streaming options that we could tell), and we couldn't get the garage door to close when it was sunny (too sensitive, it seems). But there's so much good going on here that I happily give it a high rating.
