Best Boutique Stay!

I absolutely loved this super unique and upscale 5-star boutique resort. They went the extra mile - in all directions at this beautiful property. There are a few bungalo options that are all uniqueand charming. Try the freshly made mango daquari, too. You won't be disappointed at all- as a stay here is truly one of a kind. I hope to be back soon!

WE LOVE GECKO BUNGALOW!!!

Patting ourselves on the back for booking with Michele and Scott for both ends of our trip to Belize. We arrived late in the afternoon, Scott picked us up from the airport, took us to the store for a few groceries, and recommended local restaurants that would deliver dinner while we relaxed in the gorgeous pool. The next morning, we were rested and ready for our road trip south - Scott took us back to the airport to our rental car, and even showed us a really great place to grab a late breakfast at the airport. On top of all this, we realized we had overpacked with clothes that we wouldn't be able to wear in the heat (even in January it didn't drop below 78 or so at night), and Michele and Scott offered to store one of our extra suitcases since we had booked our last night in Belize with them at the end of our 18 day trip. Amazing! They then referred us to an awesome taxi/shuttle service to get us from the ferry in Belize City back to the Gecko on our last night. Laundry machine is available, all the amenities you need, and lovely hosts. Can not recommend highly enough!!!!!

Perfect getaway spot!

The Gecko Bungalow is really something special! Scott and Michelle are incredible hosts -- when one in our party fell ill, they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and comfortable, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our days there. Their hospitality is genuine, and you can see their passion for connecting with their guests. They make it feel like you're visiting them as friends, and aren't "just a customer" renting a room. The bungalows are super comfy & cozy, and have everything you need during your stay. (Finally, a place with beds and pillows that don't ruin you!) We were lucky enough to get a tour of each room, and you can’t help but appreciate the love and effort that has gone into every detail building this dreamy spot. It was a real treat listing to all the stories Scott has about building the place into a little slice of tropical paradise. Great location! When you're there, you really do feel like you're on your own private resort! But you are just a few minutes by car from the airport, market, restaurants & DiBruwry! We really enjoyed our few days there, and can’t wait to return! 🌴✨

Stunning Bungalow

The Gecko Bungalow is an amazing property! The location is quiet, yet not too far from the airport. We stayed 1 night in the two bedroom bungalow. The bungalow had everything you could think of and everything you forgot at home. Both bedrooms had a/c and there were fans in every room so we were very cool and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The bungalow felt like a home. It was fully stocked with everything. Michelle picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Michelle is attentive and went out of her way and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Michelle also set up transportation for us to dinner. I would also recommend dinner at the Shrimp Farm. Dinner was amazing. The grounds at the Gecko Bungalow are absolutely stunning! You feel like you are away in your own private jungle oasis. I can't say enough about this property. You really have to experience it for yourself! We would definitely recommend staying at the Gecko Bungalow and we will be returning for a longer stay.

Belize Adventure

Our family of four had an amazing stay at Gecko Bungalow. It had all the comforts of being at home, however with an amazing tropical paradise backyard. The hosts, Michelle and Scott, treated you like old friends from the get go of our airport pick up and supported us with our adventure plannings for our 3 day stay. We definitely will be back at the Gecko Bungalow to further explore main land Belize.

Best place to end the day!

I am glad I was able to end my vacation at the gecko bungalow. Michelle made sure that everything was taken care of with the multiple shuttles to and from the airport. The bungalow was an oasis and I was very glad to get to experience it with my first trip to Belize. Michelle and Scott made it feel like another home away from home. Definitely looking forward to coming back! 😀

Magnificent

It was way more than the pictures. The landscape was as if you were experiencing an oasis in the desert. Michelle and Scott were the best hosts and beyond accommodating. I'll definitely be returning to utilize the entire compound.

Amazing guest house

This was an absolutely fantastic guest house with phenomenal hosts. The pool was amazing for a quick night swim before bed. The decor was fun and everything had great attention to detail. My 11-yo son rated this as the best hotel he’s ever stayed in.

So much fun!

We had so much fun staying at the Gecko Bungalow. The adult kids loved the pool and the whole resort vibe of the pool area, outdoor sitting space and all the plants. We "older" people just enjoyed hanging at the pool and outdoor kitchen soaking in the Caribbean air. At night the place lit up and transformed into a completely different place. We had so much fun. We will be back and we will tell all our friends. Thank you so much Michelle and Scott. You both rock!!!

Great gem by the airport

The Gecko is an amazing little oasis carved out near the airport. They have done such a fantastic job building out this special place. Michelle and Scott, the owners, are delightful people and extremely hospitable. There was some confusion on my end when booking, and they were very accommodating in helping to resolve it. I cannot recommend this enough for a little stay before or after your trip in Belize.

Great last night in Belize

Cozy bungalow close to the airport. We had an early flight out and wanted to avoid the drive in from Belize City. This was a perfect option for us. The bedrooms were comfortable and the AC was great. We enjoyed our last evening by the pool. Communication was great. Would happily return.
