Koe Lake Tahoe Areain parhaat puolet ympäri vuoden, kun pysyt tässä keskeisellä paikalla sijaitsevassa talossa. Talvella olet vain lyhyen ajomatkan päässä Boreal Mountainista, Northstar Californiasta ja Squaw Valley -vuoresta, jotka kaikki tarjoavat joitakin parhaista hiihtoista Pohjois-Amerikassa.

Central location, well-stocked kitchen, delightful owners
Stayed here in March so we could snowboard at Sugar Bowl, which is just 10 minutes to the west. There were only four of us, but the place could easily fit a large family -- lots of places to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and when we wanted to go out for a meal, Truckee was only 10 minutes to the east. The owner gave us her cell phone number upon arrival, and we ended up using it when we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. (They have a solid collection of movies also.) Her husband called right back, and we sorted it out. Next time we come to Tahoe to play, this is the place we'll book if it's open.

Great Tahoe Adventure for Family Reunion
We are return customers to this lovely, spacious home, where we gather grandparents, parents and grandkids, for a grand old time. Home is very comfortable and kid-friendly (they even supply a baby gate for the stairs, which came in handy for the one-year old).We enjoyed the comfortable living room area, large dining table, grill on the porch, spacious kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, etc., the nearby park at the lake with kid friendly jungle gyms and the nearby Donner Ski Ranch. Owner keeps the driveway well snowplowed too and the place was clean, the towels fluffy, everything was great.

Great Stay at a Cozy Cabin
This cabin is newly remodeled and really nice. Our children are just learning to ski this year so we have Boreal season passes. We stayed two nights and it was convenient to only be a ten minute drive away. We ate at The Pub at Donner Lake twice and the food was great. It snowed quite a bit on our last day but it wasn’t an issue since the roads and driveway were plowed. We had a wonderful stay and would use this cabin again! 5 Stars :)

Treacherous Home Entry
The house was fine. Downstairs was freezing! They are building a deck and the 6 feet from the parking pad to the front door was ridiculous. It was icy, muddy and full of holes which made it quite treacherous to navigate, especially at night. The owner’s response was uncaring. I would never rent this property again.

Absolutely loved our winter stay here. Quiet, comfortable, and despite massive snow and a road closure, it was easy to navigate and enjoy skiing at Sugar Bowl resort. We can’t wait to return and might even try the summer season vibe here.

Perfect location, comfortable home!
We loved our stay in Donner. This home has two bedrooms downstairs (master and bunk room) and one upstairs where the kitchen and family room are. We loved having 2.5 baths and a washing machine. Walking distance to the beach and pub along with public docks. Homeowner was very helpful and responsive. Kitchen well stocked. We would love to stay here again. Everyone was comfortable and happy!

Excellent location
We loved the home, especially the location as it was a close walk to the beaches. We lived out of a wagon all week. We just loaded it up with food and beverages and walked over to the beach. What a great stay!

Great House/Location!
This property was exactly what we needed for the week. We attended a wedding at Donner Lake and had 5 adults and 2 kids stay very comfortably. We probably brought too much because the house had everything and the attention to detail was spot on. I haven’t repeated a vacation stay before but we would rent here again!

Great property, just not in summer
This property is well-equipped, modern, and clean. It’s only a couple minutes from the lake, which is nice. I would, however, caution against booking in the summer. The property has no AC (like most houses in the area) and it gets uncomfortably warm inside. The living/dining/kitchen are on the second floor and the temperature goes up a good 15-20 degrees from the first to second floor. It was quite nice outside at night. And still very very warm inside. This would be a great property for Spring/Fall/Winter. With the increase in Donner Lake temps, it’s just not a comfortable stay in the warm summer months.

A Wonderful Stay
We just had the nicest stay at this property. The proximity to the lake is great - its an easy walk even with kids and beach stuff. Also easy to access the China Wall hike, other trails, and there is a great ice cream place 0.5 miles away. The home is very well appointed - the furniture and beds are very comfortable. It is well stocked with hand sanitizer, shampoo + conditioner plus little extas like hot chocolate packets, microwave popcorn, and ear plugs. For the other parents out there, a quick description of the set up. There is a mud room as you enter, then the master suite, and the kids bunk room (two sets of bunk beds!) with a full bath + laundry. Upstairs is the third bedroom with a half bath, living area, dining and kitchen. Out back is an outdoor table and chairs. We have three small kids who loved the bunk beds and we like being close to them in an unfamiliar setting, so the set up was great for us!

Great Stay
Great location able to dump the paddle boards in and explore Donner Lake with ease. Well equipped property ready for a backyard BBQ Only snag was that the location on the VRBO map is not accurate and wasn’t able to find the actual address in any of the welcome materials…. Spent several minutes trying to track down the location (recently painted too so not an exact match with online listing). Beyond that no issues.

Nice Cabin, just not for us.
We enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t be too eager to return to this specific one. The cabin definitely had some positives and negatives. Pros: stocked kitchen, gas bbq out back, clean, they had beach chairs, short walk to the beach (heads up - it’s fenced off, doesn’t open until 8am and you have to pay to enter). Cons: We came during a week where it was in the mid 80’s. The cabin doesn’t have AC - even with having all the windows and fans going, it was still 81 in the place and not really pleasant. There were SO many spiders - and I’m not talking about tiny ones, but quarter sized spiders! Also the pics don’t really depict the size of the outdoor space very well.

Amazing place to stay, walkable distance to Donner lake. Clean, spacious and well maintained property. The communication with owner was easy and prompt, answering all our questions including accommodating our late check out. Will definitely come back if vacationing here in future

Nice remodel
Overall, this is a very nice cabin and comfortable. It net our needs, and the kitchen was well stocked. On a general note, we felt the cabin to be cold. Even w heat at 70, it felt cool. Downstairs must use the extra space heaters in the rooms.

Great location, clean and modern
We had a great visit here. The house was a good size to fit 3 adults and 2 kids. It would sleep more, although the kids room is tight with the 2 bunks. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, there were games for the kids, movies and a stocked kitchen. Communication was quick and easy with the owner, who accommodated our early arrival and later departure requests and sent clear information about the house and check-in before our trip. We could walk to the beach, and it was a great location to go on hikes and into Truckee. We would stay here again!

Family enjoyed the location and the incredible lake. Fall is a great time to enjoy Donner lake and the sun was shining and the lake was perfect for the little kids and parents to play in the sand and go paddleboarding. The host was on top of everything and made us feel at home
