Most amazing place with amazing views, and such a lovely family that hosts you! The accommodation is SO comfortable, and Juan and his family make sure to go out of their way to make you comfortable. This is a cultural trip as well, as you really get to see how they live...HIGHLY recommend. We went with our 9 month old baby and 6 year old son - totally kid friendly as well.
Juan is a great host. After booking with hotels.com I got an email with Juan's email or phone number for Whatsapp. It was easy to work out the details of the boat pickup. The stay is a like a resort glamping experience. You have 4 beds total to lounge and relax. Juan and his family give you lots of privacy. There are only 2 rooms so you have a good chance to be there on your own. The toilet situation is a bit like a porta potty and that makes it like glamping, but it is not bad. Otherwise the views and relaxation are so worth it. We hated to leave. The food is also good and Juan gives you a tour around the island and how the islands are built and maintained. He is a member of the community along with his family. This is the real tour of Uros. As others have said: Just go! It is worth it.
Juan and his family were the perfect hosts! The room was beautiful with an amazing view. The food was incredible. Juan and his family went the extra mile showing us how the reed islands are constructed and even teaching us how to make local crafts.

Great property, very friendly hosts that serve delicious food !!!
