We invite you to take delight in our cozy studio suite! Located only 2 short miles from beautiful Downtown Mount Dora! Step out of your door and find yourself on our quaint sitting area that feature beautiful views of pristine Lake Gertrude! The front porch is the perfect spot to sit back and relax while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee or your favorite afternoon beverage.

The Loft is a unique getaway located above a large detached garage behind The Kennedy just minutes from the center of beautiful Mount Dora, Florida. It is accessed by an external staircase and balcony with a lake view making it great place to read your favorite book. In the loft tradition, the area is a large 900 SF room with a spacious sitting area complete with an overstuffed armchair, big TV with cable and a queen size sofa sleeper. There is also a separate sleeping area boasting a comfortable queen size bed and large dresser with mirror. Providing the culinary basics is a partial kitchen which includes a microwave, Keurig coffee maker and an under counter refrigerator. A big closet and very nice bathroom with a roomy walk in shower completes the picture. A large secluded patio and grassy side yard shared with our other rental "The Kennedy" provide a wonderful place to gather, relax and sip your favorite afternoon beverage. Perhaps the best feature of "The Loft" is its location. Just around the corner there is a paved walking / bike path with a wildlife area. The path continues along the shoreline of pristine Lake Gertrude. As you walk (exactly 2 miles round trip) there are a few beautiful moss laden ancient oaks arching over the path and one is likely to see a variety of ibis, egrets, herons, ducks, and possibly a Limpkin or an eagle. In the mornings and evenings there are always a few marsh bunnies at the edge of the wild life habitat. Feel free to bring your canoe, kayak or paddle board as there is a public access to pristine Lake Gertrude within walking distance from your rental! All of this, with quaint Mount Dora only a 2 mile drive or bike ride away, is hard to beat.

This property was great and fit our needs to a "T". The room is very spacious, more than any hotel room, and furniture was comfortable. Would recommend and stay here again. Was convenient to all the places we needed to visit.

Amazing lake views
We really enjoyed our stay, very comfortable accommodations, with a nice lake view. Within walkable distance to downtown Mout Dora, my wife loved the comfortable big chair, great place to read a book and relax. We will try to stay again.

Very nice!
We rent a lot of houses and this has been one of the cleanest places we have rented! Bed was comfortable and the little frig, microwave and kerig coffee maker was plenty for us. You can see the lake from the porch. You do walk through the back yard patio to get to the unit.

Awesome stay in this wonderful hideaway!
Everything about this was top notch! The space was roomy, clean, had a comfy bed, awesome shower…loved it all! The hosts were such friendly people! The area is quiet but close enough to town and shopping for convenience. Bike & walking paths nearby too. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway! We loved it here!

We enjoyed our stay at your property however I want you to realize that you have an orange lamp on the dresser that has a short in it you need to throw that out and get a new lamp I'm worried about it Catching Fire you also did not have any sugar LOL however you had coffee just an FYI

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Mount Dora. The loft was very well decorated and much bigger than it looks in photos. The bed was very firm. It’s a great location— only five minutes from the town— and there was a book with helpful recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!

The stay here was so very nice. We used and enjoyed the little balcony on the back that overlooked the lake. The room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The only issue we had was that the wi-fi signal was not very strong. If ever in town again, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Talia

A Piece of Heaven in Mt. Dora
Staying at the Loft was definitely a treat! Aside from its location, the Loft was astectically beautiful, spacious, comfortable, cozy, and clean. The emenities were great, and the owners and managers were very thoughtful and attentive. Definitely recommend the Loft. The one thing to note is that there is a bee hive in the garden below. They bees were no bother during the day. And only were a concern if one turned the night porch light at night.

Lovely stay in Mt Dora
We thoroughly enjoyed this loft apartment. It was super clean with high quality furnishings. It has a beautiful view of the lake from the patio as you go into the apartment. We had coffee there in the mornings. The owners were very nice.

lakeside getaway
A quiet location next to Lake Gertrude. A stroll or bike ride along the lake had numerous birds and beauty of lake life. Clean accommodations and comforts of home in a getaway setting. Highly recommended.
