Country Home +Tennis Court+ Hot Tub + EV Charger
Pack up your worries and head to the beautiful countryside at Gildridge Country Estate. 20 minutes to the coast, this stunning property with 6 bedrooms and two small double hotel quality sofa beds in the lounge sleep 16. additional fold up beds are available. Bring your furry friends as we are dog friendly. (4) dogs. Beautiful mature gardens surround the private estate and include a tennis court for your use along with a hot tub. EV charger. Extra charge for EV charger and private hot tub.
Internally the house provides well-arranged accommodation over two floors and retains many period features which include honey colored exposed wall and ceiling timbers, decorative inglenook fireplaces in both the drawing room and ground floor bedroom.
Other features of note include double doors giving access to the grounds from both the sitting room and the kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen has recently been fitted with a range of attractive units, and from the kitchen a wide opening lead through into the breakfast room.
There are six bedrooms, three king size, two doubles and a twin room.
We can provide cot and high chairs.

Set in the middle of the beautiful Sussex countryside. A property on a small, gated estate. The property is ideal for couples or a family gathering in a splendid location. It is large, set in 6.35 acres.
House is in the countryside so own transport is recommended. We have recently installed a ERiS EV which is an exclusive brand of EV charger to YESSS. The charger has a variety of features and is suitable for both commercial and domestic use.
*Chiddingly 1.75 miles, Lewes 8 miles, Eastbourne 12 miles, Brighton & Hove 15 miles, London 49 miles from the property.
*The historic county town of Lewes is some 8 miles from the property and offers a comprehensive range of shops and amenities, together with a mainline train service to London (London Bridge/Victoria about 64 minutes). The coastal, business and entertainment centres of Eastbourne and Brighton & Hove are both about 12 and 15 miles respectively.
*Dog Friendly
*Home includes a Smart TV.
*Lead guest needs to send photographic id before checkin.
*High chairs and travel cots must be requested at least 24 hours before arrival. We do not supply linen, quilts, etc for the travel cot.
*Tennis court is free to use.
+ Maximum 4 free car parking spaces. There is plenty of free parking in Whitesmith Lane.
* Home offers an EV Charger and is a contactless payment and is located in the parking area behind white cottage. Max number of cars 4 for the main house. Plenty of free parking in Whitesmith Lane which is turn left out of the gates and first left turning.
*Coffee tea and sugar is supplied.
*We will send the code to open the front gate prior to check in.
*Main house has a washing machine and a separate tumble dryer for your use.
*We have two additional cottages located on the property as well that are available to be rented. Please reach out to discuss rates and dates available for booking. Both the cottages have their own private hot tub and washer and dryers as well as a Smart TV with streaming options.
*After 16 guests, £70 per person, per night.
* Guest needs to send their photographic Ids before check in.
*Due to health and safety regulations log burners are not available to use.
*Tennis court flood lights are not available.
*No cellotape, blueback or similar to be used to fix any decorations to any surface including walls in the property.
*No fireworks at all. Horses and dogs nearby.
*No loud music outside.
* We accept absolutely no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage sustained whilst staying at the properties, grounds and facilities at the properties Gildridge, The Cottage and The White Cottage.
* Hot Tub is not available 25th and 26th of December.
Pet Policy:
This cottage only allows (4) pets per stay.
Tennis Courts:
Tennis courts are available year-round and are shared with the two cottages in the grounds.
No pets are allowed in the tennis court.
Tennis court gates should be kept closed at all times for safety.
The courts are for tennis only. No bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters or other activities are permitted on the court at any time.
Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
HOT TUB RULES:
Extra charge applies for sole use of hot tub.
NO Pregnant women, children and those with heart disease
ASK your doctor before getting in if you take medicines or have medical condition
Don’t get in tub if you have open sores or wounds, or cuts, or diarrhea
SHOWER off particles, oils, fake tan, cosmetics, hair gels, etc…before getting in. Wearing of fake tan is not allowed as it will spoil the water for your stay and clog the filters. Charge for extra cleaning is a minimum of £100 as we would have to empty the tub, clean filters, clean hot tub, refill and reheat.
No drugs or alcohol. No food or drink.
Pets not allowed in the tub.
Keep your head, arms and upper chest out of the water to avoid overheating
Stay hydrated before getting into the hot tub
Get out if you feel dizzy, overheated, nauseous, or unwell
Close the lid when you are not using the tub to keep water temperature from falling.
Do Not sit, lay or stand on the hot tub cover. Damaged cover will be charged at £750.
Be careful when getting out so you don’t slip and fall. We accept no liability to anyone using the hot tub.
*Park at your own risk as management assumes no responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss that may occur while the vehicle is parked. Maximum 4 cars allowed to park on site. Extra cars are charged at £25 per night. There is plenty of free on street parking in Whitesmith Lane.
*Caution should be exercised when walking the grounds as there are several ponds on the property.
*Caution should be exercised as there are a lot of low oak beams in main house. Parts of which are over 400 years old.
Extra guests over 16 are charged at £70 per person per night.
